and I certainly wont pay to advertise the product. However, if CCP was to make available for ingame PLEX, iron on transfers for T shirts and bumper stickers, I would more than likely purchase some and distribute a few.
I'm not asking for wages to advertise Eve but I will meet CCP half way. They give me the items and I will display them.
Thumbs up anyone? |

I'm about to go to the mall in my plain blue singlet. I will not mention Eve to anyone and of the 1000 or more people that I pass none of them will know that I play Eve. Most of them will never have even heard of it.
A nice pic of my Titan (Drake ;), and the Eve logo would be noticed by a few and possibly remembered.
That's what advertizing is, but I'm not stupid enough to pay to do it on principle.

Heyyyyyyyyyy slow down buddy. I'm not talking about using the credit card to buy this advertising stuff, thats a one way move. PLEX's are barbed cos once ingame you cant redeem them back onto your credit card. What I'm suggesting is using an ingame PLEX to get something material that would help Eve without CCP Credit Card Purchase. |

the problem seems to be how it is presented to the community.
it would seem if they presented the nex store without creditcard transactions, people would be accepting of it. But, they fail to take into account that people can already buy PLEX with real money and then purchase the isk-only-NEX store items.
Really, theres no difference, other then how its presented.
NeX isn't for creditcard holders only. CCP doesnt have my creditcard at all, hasn't for over 2 years. I have a monocle. |
