Why they dont add corp recruitment adds on log on screeen for aurum, or idk custom repaint of CQ or something like that?

In my humble opinion they have large array of choice from vanity items, there is really no need for non-vanity items right now, and if they ever(hope not but still) implement them that could be implemented in such a way it does not destroy the eve-s uniqueness and economy.

Btw, my "feeling" is that monocles and all that crp will be destructable in the future.

Why?

Micro transaction is not "the way of the future" its just cynical business model for companies that believe their content is not deep enough to keep the subscription numbers up. CCP can keep those subs going they just need to keep working on Eve and actually iterate all their promised content. They're is tons and tons half finished bits that could be developed in to powerful features. They just don't want to put the work in.

But it would make absolutely no sense. A person in a pod is not going to be wearing clothes. Our corpses are naked. Our plugins are on our backs. Watch the video that was first released about Incarna, we're naked in a goo filled pod.

That's actually one thing that bothers me a great deal about this AUR crap. What damn sense does it make for an entire universal economy to use a special currency just for fancy clothes?? None! It's not necessary either.

CCP could have avoided this whole thing by simply not making AUR. Want your virtual jeans to be worth $1000 real USD? Make it cost a couple trillion ISK. People can then go buy $1000 worth of plex to buy their ISK to buy their jeans. The whole purpose of AUR is not anything about storyline or making the game better, but to artificially inflate the cost of PLEX on the EvE market by making it disappear.

When a game company stops caring about storyline anymore...it's a very bad sign. AUR makes no sense except as an IRL money sink.
