CCP hired marketing experts to set up their Cash Store and this company of experts were so sure of their powers of prediction, that they offered an insurance guarantee.
CCP knew they couldn't defend Incarna ... so they decided to "hold true" and cash in on the insurance policy.
Expect a major apology and re-invitation soon ...

Not bad. My theory is that this is a social experiment to see how the community would deal with a doomsday scenario in eve, without any dev feedback. The leaks are all part of the experiment to incite maximum rage.

I have a few-
a. This is a challenge to the eve community- how STRONG is our community to resist 'doomsday'?
b. They have really lost it. |

I prefer the one where aliens from the future replaced Hilmar with a robot who wants to destroy Eve before it becomes the saviour of the human race. |

ok, this game looks fun. I'm gonna go with...
CCP were lacking in resources for DUST 514 and WoD, so they are masterminding this whole thing with the goal of repurposing the soon to be unneeded hardware for those projects. |

i like this. The CIA is funding the whole thing, CCP took the $ and ran with it because they were going under anyway. |

No, the whole microtransaction thing is solely in response to DUST going buy-to-play. If DUST was subscription based, they wouldn't have had to go MT. |

CCP are weeding out the undesirable accounts and are currently loading all their hardware onto space-submarines so that on 21 december 2012 they can save the rich players accounts from the end of the world... |

Na, conspiracy theory sounds to extreme. It's rather a common sign of corporate despotism - over time, the boss fires everybody who has a different opinion, and then starts believing the voices in his head that tell him that everything he ****s will eventually turn into Aurum, uh, gold.
Also the marketing gang probably think that the people that unsubscribe now would unsubscribe anyway, and that Eve needs a new generation of players with more money, less brains and an interest in virtual clothes.

i have been wondering when they would ever do something with Jove, i guess you are right as for this **** storm, they are just waiting hoping it will blow over, i am afraid it won't and without a proper response from CCP come Monday a lot more people will unsub i think it is more like a giant brain fart on CCp's end then a conspiracy |

Occam's razor, often expressed in Latin as the lex parsimoniae, translating to law of parsimony, law of economy or law of succinctness, is a principle that generally recommends selecting the competing hypothesis that makes the fewest new assumptions, when the hypotheses are equal in other respects.
My money is emo-ragers being overly emo caused by a complete failure to understand the written word and living with a sense of entitlement that demands they be supplied with designer wares.
The emo population does after all has a proven track record of reading difficulties and society has taught us to demand for more than is reasonable/feasible. |

When are you people gonna wake up?!?
It's obvious this is a conspiracy by the international banking elite and Wall Street, a single part in their plot to form a world-government under their own auspicious rule. Do you think it's a coincidence this expansion is called Incarna? Incarna is an obvious anagram for 'Carinna' - the code-name for a secret alliance between the banking industry and China, formed with the purpose to force us all in debt to the Chinese and make us easy targets for a hostile take-over. This was all predicted by Nostradamus:
Fire, flame, hunger, robber, wild smoke, It will cause to fail, striking hard, to destroy EVE: Arrow of "Dent Ð Ã " all Provence sucked up, Driven out of the realm, enraged without spitting.
Where does CCP fit into all this? EVE online serves as a test-bed to gauge public reaction to the one-world currency, the AURUM!
Get up from your chair! Get mad! Fight the power! Fight the power! (Also, stock up on canned goods and move into a cabin in the mountains for nuclear war and zombies are surely coming to a place near you).

The pope is hiding a working time machine in a secret basement vault in the Vatican. CCP is desperately trying to get access to it so they can go back to last week and make things right. The problem is that the pope, being the avid EVE player that he is (look up Pius11!!1) and having the wealth that only the head of all Christianity could, wants his monocle. He is refusing to even consider any changes that might deny him his little trinket. Thus, we are stuck with EVE as it is today. And so long as this pope remains in the Vatican, this is how it will be. Mr Epeen |

CCP recently met with Sony and signed over their credit card details so that they could purchase some 'research materials' from the Playstation Store.
Unfortunately, all didn't go well and as they attempted to buy the PS3 Dev-Kit's needed to build Dust 514, they realised their card had been maxed out.
Hilmar ran home to check the online transaction balance and realised the money was gone. Then, checking his e-mail was a nice Sony message mentioning user details having been stolen.
Now they must re-coup the funds to save the people!
Tune in next week for the next episode of EvE-Reloaded. |

I think Hilmar is Preparing CCP for a Merger or even an IPO.
1. Reduce Cost (no new developments, just strap an "I-WIN-BUTTON" on existing artwork and Code) 2. increase Cash-flow (sell this items).
This makes eve juicy for possible Buyers. They don't care for 200 Canceled subscription + Investors like Words like Greed.
The moment the Buyer of CCP find out EVE was broken by MT. Hilmar is already somewhere in the Caribbean with a cocktail in his hand and millions on his bank card. |
