Malcanis - lots of disgruntled former pod pilots are picking up Perpetuum Online at the moment, and there's a 15 day free trial. It might not be your cup of tea, but you could probably do worse than to check it out.

I've seen what EvE is becoming for a long time now & I feel it no longer meets my needs as a gamer and customer.

Can't recommend a game, but like most people have been saying, Perpetuum seems a place where a lot of disgruntled eve players have been going into mass exodus. Cheers! |

Who knows what might happen in the future. I'm hardly optimistic, but EVE has rarely failed to surprise me these last 5 years so I can't in all honesty absolutely rule it out. As yet, I've done nothing irrevocable, so I can afford to see what results the emergency CSM summit may produce. In all honesty, I'm expecting nothing more than more weasel words and unfounded arrogance (Is 'unfounded arrogance' a tautology? It seems like it should be but it's really hot and I can't think), but if Mittens & co pull do off some kind of miracle and extract an unambiguous commitment to keep EVE forever free of anything other than pure Vanity MT, to make CQ permanently optional, etc etc, then I'll be as pleased as anyone. A public apology for certain comments made by certain people in CCP wouldn't go amiss either. A proper explanation might go down well too. It seems like CCP have been surprised to discover that being honest and open with their customers works well several times already, and maybe they'll be surprised to discover it again. Or perhaps they genuinely enjoy trolling the living **** out of the playerbase every summer - who knows? But at the moment my only option is to let them watch what I do, since they're determined not to listen to what I say. |
