I believe the trip is just designed to cool the population down a bit, give CCP the ability to say they did something (I know. Funny right?) and for them to cave a bit on pricing for Tribble Token Items. All of this to try and lower the volumn from us rabble rousers! It has even sunk to a new low.... Tons of threads are appearing praising MT and the FAIL that is Incarna. Look in the threads... These folks go silent as soon as they are challenged... I can only think of a few things that would cause this:
1--trolls----- sorry, all the usual suspects are screaming about MT and Incarna
2--Dev Alts---- It has been done before....
3--Paid forum flunkies---- happens all the time.. Companies hire PR firms to trash competitors or hype their own products...
4-- Kool-Aid drinkers---- even these guys no better then to jump into this crap-storm..... |

Prior to this, I think it was a dev blog about carriers, the jack-of-all-trades debate. Though that was some time ago, may have been another I missed. |

Yep, could be. We'll never know for sure one way or another. All we know is, CCP is a corporation and its behavior, not like the independent production house of yesterday, but of a wannabe Mega Corp. And we all know how much trust they engender. |

I give nothink about fancy items for money. Even with enough spare money in my pockets, I'd never buy them as they are just useless junk to me.
But when CCP deside to bring usefull stuff for real money (ak items, skills, whatever) ... I have to say NO too. I pay every month allready and so simply expect to get the stuff without any more money!
PS: And still ask myselve HOW the hell someone pay 31 ACC like the guy in the list?
- RMT?
- no real life?
- scammed his alliance?
Even more what does he need so many acc for? Can be just one think: BOTing!!

Quafe ZERO was to test the player-base reaction to a large influx of from-thin-air side-effect free boosters...
Basically they were checking how the players would react when they would introduce these booster for AUR, cause if no one complain when everyone got 6 per account then they wouldn't complain when everyone could by them for $1 a pop. |

That was most likely added for the feature CCP ran past CSM last year, where they wanted to allow returning players to buy SP they lost while being unsubscribed... LOL, EVERYTHING CCP has been doing the last year that made no ****ing sense at all unless they were complete ******s... Now makes sense; they've already gone full ****** and somehow managed to hide it until now. |

tbh sp injection i dont care about vanity items too what concerns me if they introduce gold ammo , mods and ships i mean really some 1 day old player in a faction fitted CNR coz he spent 200 dollars i dont care about in fact he would be prime target for my pirate alt :) just imagine 100s of new players paying to get skills and ships , i can taste the tears already lol but if they introduce shop items that affect the MARKET it will be bad |

The problem I see with P2W items is the slippery slope.
Lets say that the new incoming crowd of players loves the idea of being able to purchase wtfpwn guns from the NEX. They buy said guns and what's left of the player base happily ganks said noob and loots the new $hiney wtfpwn guns.
The first thing that is going to happen is that newb is going to raise holy hell that he paid cash for those guns and it isn't fair that he lost them so quickly and will refuse to buy more because its a waste of money.
Do you think CCP will protect the old dinosaur player that is damaging its new revenue stream or will rush in to protect the bottom line?
What actions do they have available to protect that revenue stream from drying up? |

That's what lead to one of the older dev comments about no plans for MTs, if I remember correctly. |

I think that was the purpose of the Quafe Zero coming out of left field... to test player reaction.
We were promised an update to contraband and i think were about to get it in the form of MT. |
