Downtime is now expected to last until 23:30 UTC due to the length of database updates.

CCP **** you! I go to bed!

edit: instead of double the power of your hardware....double the hardware...make patches over MONTHS if you want, and once finished switch the servers and let us play...

This was the most boring day of the last 15 years for me...and no...fapping does not help...google allready called me and asked if there were new ****sites...

Really, someone around here is still surprised this would happen?
CCP can take 2 whole days for all I care, my skills are training.

GMT-Greenwich Mean Time UTC - Universal Time code. One and the same. Just like B.C is now B.C.E. Before Current Era.

Except UTC does not take into account daylight savings etc, so GMT is +1 hour on UTC. Until the clocks go back later in the year.

20:00

Deployment is still underway and expecting Tranquility to still open at 21:30 UTC.

20:20

Downtime is now expected to last until 23:30 UTC due to the additional server updates.

It has now changed to additional server updates.

I'm sure they are making it up as they go along.

its absolutly NOT normal.

We migrated whole Networks from NT4 to W2K with exchange and active directories over different countries in less time and that is ALLWAY much more pain in the ass than patching a ****ing game!
Ever...and for allways.

its not like the server gonna be stable the coming week anyway with more extended downtime because of "database problems".

I leave for work at 02:30.
I hope everything is back up by then, one of my characters has room on their skill queue I wanna fill *BEFORE* I go do a long, annoying 16 hour day without getting my EVE fix.

If not, then I shall start getting annoyed.

Lol! i remember that patch day... i was actualy fishy when it finished on time. Just didnt seem right, no MMO ive ever played (and ive played almost all of them to date) has ever had a patch finish on time. So i waited till later that night. Glad i did =)

Hehehe, what I dont get is why CCP can never get it right, why don't they just in future for a major release say, "its offline for 24 hours, if we can do better and get it on sooner, we will. Laughing"

As they NEVER get it right.. Its comical. Maybe they are just mean buggers who like to screw with us. Laughing
