I use a 36' LCD TV...

I've found the most crisp setting was at 1360 x 768. It will look just like a giant monitor and give you plenty of room to adjust things. If you go higher it will fuzz the text at normal viewing distance and lower will make things too big.

Try it out...and you'll need to make sure you adjust your TV to provide a crisp picture. Take awhile to dial in, but its worth it.

I also run a 13 inch to the left and to the right for panels that I keep up all the time and I don't want to block the action.

So 1360 x 768 is its native resolution and it goes higher "non native" for tv?

If so, sounds like something to watch for, the native resolution of 1080 x 1920.

No it's native resolution would be the 1920 X 1080, but setting it for a 1360 X 768 is better for viewing internet related stuff because of all the text i suppose. Plus 1360 X 768 is the widescreen 720P res.

You could even leave it there for watching TV, becasue even HD TV is filmed at 720 res, & not 1080. Don't know how many people know that, but blu-rays are the only thing making use of the full 1080P resolution.

So, i find it odd that text wouldnt look crisp at the native res.

Have you ran the cleartype tuner again? It could be the cleartype crap.

I use a 46" at 1080p. Do all my work on it as well.. everything is nice and crisp. Avoid edge LED as most of the ones I've seen when working on dark images, tend to bleed light.

It's not that it doesn't look right, it's just that with a larger screen everything looks smaller, so if like me your sat quite some distance away then the writing does get a bit tedious to see.

At night when the glare isnt bad, I sometimes play on a 14 foot projector screen.

Its pretty win.

Same here, Fills my whole studio room. Is really fun. But like u said the glare can be a problem. Even a small light to see my key board can start to get to me(mainly finding the curser) So mainly play on my little 24 inch.

When i warp with the projector on I go--Shocked

Go for it, even if it doesn't suit you, you can turn down the resolution latter.

Or

Also try & get one with 3 HDMI ports in, 1 for TV, 1 for PC & 1 for PS3/Xbox .. Total Win

Exactly, 720 rez is more than sufficient on a good card with HDMI hookups. You can convert the VGA or DVI to HDTY with a simple converter connector sold at any Radio Shack.

Having played Eve on a 24inch 1920x1200 screen, 27 inch 2650x1440 and a 42 inch 1920x1080 screen I'd list them like this.

27 >>>>>>>>>>>> 24 >>>> 42.

In fact, playing eve on a 42 inch screen was quite a horrible experience, screen size is way too big for sitting at arm's length making it hard to keep track of everything going on. I guess at 32 inch it will be a little better but be prepared for things to look ugly and pixelated from the distance you're sitting at.

TL;DR: in my opinion big screen is only nice if you sit at a distance and want to drool over how pretty your ship looks. It's not practical at all.
Get a 27inch 2650x1440 or 30 inch 2650x1600 screen instead, these are much more suitable for general computer use and actually playing Eve online.
