What I did listen to ... Fear Factory ...
One of my friends is a huge Fear Factory fan. We saw them some years ago, I guess during one of Children of Bodom's early US tours. After the show, he was adamant about trying to hang out with Fear Factory and we all got stuck camping out by their trailer for like an hour. All I can say is, it was cold out that night, and we knew it because at the beginning of their set when Bodom was introducing themselves, Alexi was like "We're from f'ing Finland! ... It's f'ing cold out!" We never did see Fear Factory after that show; or rather, I guess we saw them go in their trailer and totally ignore their dedicated fans - not that I blame them... it *was* cold out! Some of the guys from Bodom came by and waved on the way to their trailer, but I don't think anybody knew who the hell they were at the time... I told my friend I'm never forgiving him for that. I haven't heard of most of these guys. I did pick up an Agathodaimon cd a little while back. I like what they're doing, couldn't really name a song as a favorite though. I think you're a bit more on the black metal side of things than I am. I'll give the bands I don't know of a look though, there may be a few I'll enjoy. (edit - corrected "death metal" to "black metal"... couldn't remember the right genre to say what I meant and was being lazy) |

(Note: I use to get high everyday and well lets just say I found a cool way of going back in time and having sex with an Egyptian, plus most stuff I like to play on the piano are from games). 1. I have one of their albums and I think they are actually pretty good, but they aren't one of my favorite bands. They deserve some credit for actually putting together coherent lyrics, which many bands in their genre don't. Then again, many bands in their genre aren't native speakers of English. Still, you'd think they'd run them by somebody that had a good grasp of the language so they don't sound ridiculous. |
