We had something similar with the polaris syndicate. Here's the mail (+ screen shot) we sent them:
Dear Sirs,
It was recently brought to my attention that one of your POS's was left at a moon, unanchored and unguarded, in the FWA-4V system. As you may know EVE is very unforgiving, especially to idiots, and we were very concerned that someone would steal this POS from you. Here at Enlightened Industries we try to instil a measure of integrity and honesty into our pilots, so we removed your pos and took it to safety. We left a can in its place, see image below:

We have your POS, safely tucked away, and we would now like to discuss the best way in which to return it to you. Because of the effort involved by my pilots, as well as the risk involved, in saving your POS I must ask for a payment from you, which I think you'll agree is only fair. So, factoring in costs of danger, time, fuel - as well as deducting an appropriate amount for the laughs it gave us - I am pleased to confirm the amount required to have this POS returned to you is 125,000,000.00 isk. We will of course take it to NPC space so that you are able to retrieve it.
I also think it would be prudent that in the future you keep me aware of all plans in placing POS's down so that I can ensure my pilots can assist you, and also keep an eye on your assets ensuring they are kept safe. It is clear from this misadventure that some of your pilots are fairly careless, and as mentioned previously EVE can be a very harsh place so I feel it is my civic duty in keeping a fatherly eye on you.
Kind regards,

apparently, they did not want that pos anyways. Fly through 0.0, you will see a lot of abandoned pos with modules at them and all. Alliances dont give a **** about some POSes, they are consumables, you can however use them for stat padding on killboards, since killed modules give you a lot of points. |
