lets see how well you do when running a database that is pretty massive on you local machine and that gets to sort out massive changes to the database everyday. they do the downtime everyday to clean up the database and back it up in order to keep eve running.

if they didn''t do that the server would just plain crash on your ass.

so instead of whining support CCP for this amazing game they made for you to spend your no life time on.

Been in EvE since the early Beta days and i have to say 1.6 is thoroughly broken, with the latest patch to fix bugs making other things even worse. This is possibly the bumpiest ride i've experienced in EvE yet with server/game issues.

Ok database errors may or may not be related to this (most probably not from my own perspective as a programmer).

I can only hope that Incarna has been geared to deal with outstanding issues as it is only 2 weeks away....

Was there some active exploit in the works? I hope resolving the issue in this way was worth all of the bad blood just shutting this off with no warning is creating.

This doesn't seem like an emergency reboot as you tend to give warning messages when that happens. This seems like a crash, node died, will not load system.

Man up CCP, enough with the sugar.

As far as im concerned, there isnt a hope in hell of a working Incarna getting released on the 21st, the last patch and the amount of time taking to correct things shows that this is a complete impossibility atm.
