I am after an ISP offering a heavy use package on an ADSL1 exchange.
There's soon to be five of us hammering away at the connection and whatever BT's cap is, is not doing it.
Does anyone know of UK ISPs offering like... 60GB/month or higher packages on ADSL1?
I know everyone and their dog is doing much higher caps on their ADSL2 packages but our exchange is probably not going to be upgraded any time soon.
Low contention ratio would be nice too.
I recall a few ISPs doing this last time I was shopping for one but can't seem to find them now. |

^^This - unlimited internet the way it is supposed to be. No throttling, no caps, no FUP, no BS. Just speed, speed and more speed, averaging 5-10 ms ping on most UK servers for FPS bunny-hop, kapow, pew-pew. Almost 3 years of obscenely high amounts of downloading and uploading with no worries. And the customer service runs in god mode 24/7. Check this to see if they are in your local cabinet or not. Because unlike 99% of ISP's, they actually put their own equipment in the exchange. If not - move out of the stix. AK |

Be for me. ADSL1 tho .. not sure. Guessing you can't get fiber or virgin?
I'm with plus.net but only because their lines are cheap as a BT subsidiary. BE when my contract is up. All my man-friends say its the best. |

Yeah. As someone guessed I do live in the sticks. We had to petition to get ADSL as I remember. No ADSL2, no cable. Hmmkay. I'll have a look at Be. Their postcode checker appears to be b0rked so I'll have to ring them. |

Move...it'll be worth it. dial-up < high speed internet access When I moved last year, I specifically moved so I was less than 750m from a FTTC exchange. Dang, it was worth it! AK |
