Okay, so there have been many of these threads before, I know. However this is getting absolutely ridiculous. Eve banned both of my accounts for "macro usage". First of all, I assume they banned me for it because I like to mine a lot? Second, I don't even understand why they banned both of my accounts, I only ever mine on my alternate account, so why would they ban my completely separate main account as well for macro usage? Not only does this show they have no idea if their ban is truly justifiable, but they don't take consideration into it at all. I think it is completely bs that GM's can arbitrarily ban people for things they believe without any evidence at all. All they can say is "you've been doing it for a long time", where the heck does it say how much time is limited for me to play. I have absolutely no idea how a gm can just go and ban without any actual evidence or valid reason. I can be mining a lot (that's how I make a large portion of my isk) and a gm comes by, sees me, thinks I'm macro'ing, bans me, and that's done. End of story. I don't want to play a game where I don't know whats right or wrong because the gm's decide it themselves arbitrarily. |

You disgust me too bud. Don't worry. One day when the cops come to your house and arrest you for no reason you'll enjoy sitting a cell and having your rights taken away with no justification, I can tell. Only lesson I've learned is the true nature of how this game is run. Banning people for no reason to show you're doing something as a gm really is a wonderful experience to see when playing this wonderful game. |

If you were truly and wrongfully accused, and you actually pay to play, you do have remedies, notwithstanding pecuniary ones.

Made it a link, Bad CCP Sreegs, you need to make these links so the lazy macro-users don't have to write a macro to copy and paste the link in the browser for them. |

The forum is not the place to discuss this.
You need to petition and wait. You need to provide logs of what you have been doing. Show proof. Explain yourself.
You must not be aware that there is an automated system that sweeps through and checks for signs of prohibited activity. It is not perfect.
Escalate to a senior GM.
A corp mate had to wait a couple weeks to get reinstated due to the system/first level GMs banning him for hacking an account and taking ships, etc. The problem was he took GIFTS on contracts from someone claiming to be quiting the game.
There is a lesson there for everyone. Be careful taking candy from strangers. |

Read the macro banning policy sticked in this forum, it specifically states that _ALL_ your accounts get banned not just your macro account. |

CCP Sreegs has said that when an account is banned for botting, all accounts owned by the same player also get banned. Originally by: CCP Sreegs
We work to track all of the accounts and an even action is applied across all of them. This means that if for some reason we only applied a 14 day ban against one of your accounts, then when you hit your second strike we found a new one, we'll apply a 30 day ban across all the accounts. We're also watching other activity.
Basically we don't just action against the account that was flagged.
So your money laundering accounts get hit too. I mine quite a bit. Make good money doing it. Easy activity to do while watching TV or reading. Never had an issue with CCP thinking Im a bot. Every now and then a player will convo me seeing if Im a bot, I just talk to them for a bit. |

Well it is your own fault for mining.
The better you are at mining the more it looks like a bot is doing it.
Makes you wonder why anyone would pay money to play game where they mimic a bot? |

I'm not Sreegs, but from what I understand the GM in question will have checked your mining accounts behaviour over an extended period of time. So, if by any chance the character on that account was running forth and back from the station to the belt, mining, unloading, mining, unloading.. and that over several days and over several inhuman time-frame (read: 23.5/7) and other suspicious stuff(*), than you get tagged as macro user. The next thing they do is temporary ban that account and ALL other related accounts as per their policy. So if you wanted to keep your other account clean and white, you should have taken more precautions than 'I just macr.. mine on the mine account'. (*)CCP won't tell you what that is apparantly  |
