So, ever since I updated my client to the newest patch, I've been getting a maximum of 10-15 FPS per client, across two screens in windowed mode.

I normally run three clients, maxing out at five or six. The FPS across all of them is usually 60+ afaik. I have *ALL* settings disabled graphically, I have always had my interval set to "interval one", so on and so forth.

I even thought it might be something on my end, but I can't find any reason why it would be. I'm having no issues FPS wise related to any other game :( I've re-cleaned my cards, double checked the drivers, etc etc and I'm still at a loss as to what's wrong.

I'm running x2 ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB cards, Intel i7 920 chip.

Always run Eve just fine unless I was in 020 YARRRR!!.

Anyone else having this type of issue or know a workaround / fix? ugh Living in 0.0 + WH makes having 10FPS and lower *extremely* bad. Crying or Very sad

I don't multi-box, but I have seen a similar drop in FPS rates about 3 weeks ago. The most recent patch has made my client playable, but I still experience FPS drops EVERY time I use my dscan or update my probes. The drop in FPS will go as low as 5 FPS and then slowly drift back up to 30-35FPS. However, as I live in a WH I am constantly spamming my dscan and giving myself self-inflicted lag. It is playable, but I have no thoughts about trying to fire up a second client on my PC. After trying many suggestions on improving FPS rates, filing a petition and a bug report, I have not found any solution to my consistent and persistent issue.

I have the exact same problem. I updatet my computer short while ago. Now i have an I5 2400, a Asus P67 Pro, 8 gigs of ram and a Geforce 460. Windows 7 64bit an Eve are installed on two seperated SSD drives, so there should be enough power for Eve.
When i start more than 2 clients, i get the drops in FPS for no reason, CPU idles somewhere between 10 an 20% and the Graphiccard is somewhere about 30%. But i only get about 5 to 30 FPS on one eveclient.
The only thing i can do is do put intervall to immediate, then i get FPS about 130 and my graphiccard went up to 100% and is getting loud.
Why i cant just have 60 FPS constant on every client, when i set interval to one Question I think it's intended this way...

I have checked almost everything, reinstalled eve, erased my eve settings, checked graphic driver, checked Nvidia Controlpanel settings and i have no problems elsewehere, just eve with more than one client.

Set your graphics card to vsync and eve will max out at the refresh interval defined by your screen. Problem solved.

Oh, if it where that simple, i wouldnt even bother to write here. The Vsync settings where the first i've looked at, when i noticed the problem.

Edit:
Some ppl in our german forums have had the same problem, a solution that worked there: If you have windows 7 or vista, turn off windows aero. You can diasable it temporarily as long as eve is running by right click on the evefile.exe located in your eve/bin folder -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "disable desktop composition"
Worked for me, give it a try.

I'm having an issue that I think is related. I'd love to find an answer as well and maybe my experiences could give another clue. What I'm seeing seems to have to do with Windows 7.

When I have a single client going, I'm looking at about 100-120 FPS. With 2 clients going, in the past I'd be looking at something like 80-90 FPS on each of them, and I'd tab back and forth between them in fixed window mode no problem.

Now, when I switch between 2 clients, the FPS drops on each to about 30, and here's the interesting part: If I'm in one client, then alt tab to the desktop, then alt tab into the other client, I'm back at 80 FPS. As long as I go to my desktop first then to the other client I can get 80 FPS in each. As soon as I switch back between them directly, I'm back down to 30.

My first thought was an Aero desktop issue so I disabled that (even though I had no trouble with it on before recently). That made no difference. Any thoughts? Those of you getting lower FPS with multiple clients on 7 or vista, give a try tabbing to the desktop in between switching clients, see if you're in the same boat.

Am Currently running windows Vista 32b, Pentium D dual core 2.8ghz cpu, 4 gb ddr2 ram, radeon HD 5770.

This infact also happens when i multibox, i get low fps, when i run 2 window mode clients, but if i run both clients in fullscreen and tab between the two, the FPS is significantly better. This has happened ever since incursion's been released, on the same system i could run 3 clients at an average of 50fps in 1024 x 768.

This sounds extremely likely to be an anti-aliasing issue.

Please make sure that anti-aliasing is disabled both in Eve and in your graphics card driver settings.

EDIT: Unless someone beats me to it, I will post screen-shots of the AA settings in Eve and the nVidia driver page when I get home.

will double check the AA settings on my GPU when i get back from work later, but afaik, the setting for AA on my eve clients is disabled.
