CCP should allow us to fit warp disruptors to shuttles, it would greatly expand their use case.

They simply cost too much without NPC seeding:

Reasons why shuttles are inferior to even the worst t1 frigate:
+ They die in 100% of manned bubble camps.
+ Their cargo capacity is laughable.
+ In many 0.0 systems the closest shuttle is 19 jumps away.
+ They cannot fit a point.
+ When you fly one you ALWAYS pass that idiot with red standing who is auto-piloting through null-sec.

Simply put:
Shuttles need a buff.

Shuttles are meant to get you halfway across the galaxy to get one skill book or to another random place quickly. I think for cheap pointless travel they Shuttle you around quite nicely.

Shuttles are just nothing more than hull buffers with engines. That way, if your shuttle gets pointed, you can eject from the shuttle and instawarp while the perp's point is still fixed on the shuttle. Of course, this won't work if you're trapped in a bubble. In which case, better pray you're flying a covert ops ship with a cloak at that moment in time.

While I don't think the shuttle needs a buff, I do think the forums do.
We need an "ignore" feature on these forums pretty bad tbh.

With a few tweaks, shuttles could potentially fill the role of the anti-supercapital ship that everyone's been crying out for.

ORIGINAL IDEA DO NOT STEAL.

Actually, if I get pointed, I'd rather be in a shuttle than in a covop.

I wouldn't mind seeing shuttles having warp to 5km instead of 15km on autopilot.

That said I generally used a pimped nano frig for autopilot travels in highsec. Goes much faster.

agreed... shuttles need doomsday devices more ehp, like 60000k ehp warp fields around them, auto targeting and auto shooting and being able to jump 400 ly without cyno and needs to fly 60km/s and ehh..

shut up shuttles are fine, if t1 frigs are so much better, use it instead

Shuttles are still cheap depending where you buy them, I see em for 10k often.

I prefer the fast frigates though like the executioner, slasher, atron, and condor for shuttlework though. They don't cost much more you can add some mods, and they hold more.

Shuttles need insane warp speeds, and much faster accelleration/decceleration. They are supposed to be a tool for gettting around quickly, not just an extra layer of armour for your pod.

I don't feel greatly enthused about this whole topic, but if I am to say anything then I would agree with the above statement. Right now I find the Buzzrad the best form of "shuttling", given it's standard 13.5 au/s warp speed. Properly kitted out it will do close to 20 au/s, has good align time and has the benefit of cloak.

...but then it costs a whole lot more.

Shuttles are cheap, you get you what you pay for.

Shuttle's are good to use for doing many things, baiting, recon, scouting etc. They are not combat ships but get around the verse ships.

It would be nice if CCP designed a class of fighter ships around the shuttle class that could be used on a pvp to pvp basis of shear gut wrenching speed filed combat.
