As a new Intaki traveler who has taken up the cause of the Minmatar plite, I falsely assumed that all Minmatar agents would be people of integrity and moral standing. I recently completed a set of five missions for one Asgidur Haeludari of the RPA in Vellat. He is a valueless man, but I am no better for going along with his requests, just for the sake of completing the set and gaining standing. Shame on me. My crew was quick and right to point out my hypocrisy. The thrust of the missions was to destroy the agent's personal competition in a personal business venture. This had nothing to do with my desire to serve the Minmatar cause. I apologize to my crew and promise that such behavior will not be repeated.Neutral

I am certain the Federation and Intaki agents will be fine, moral, upstanding beacons of true enlightenment. You should head back there, post haste.

I assure you, Federation agents will NEVER be fine, moral and upstanding beacons of... ukhm... true enlightenment.
These scumsuckers will cover you with their sweet sticky hypocrisy and will make you to do amoral inhuman crimes.

I am afraid you won't like to do military Caldari missions as well.
But, if you want to have your hands clean, you can complete some courier jobs for the State. There is not much... enlightenment as well as other gallente lies. Just stable well paid job.

When I was a young capsuleer (well, I still am, but younger) I ventured out into Caldari space. I admit I took missions that cost the lives of fellow Matari. I have since atoned for those sins and moved back to where I can further help my brethren.

However, as you've found out, not all agents are exactly forthcoming about their motives. Some, in fact, are quite insane. You learn to take the good with the bad, and whether or not your actions with them might be considered questionable by some, if they are increasing your status with the Matari Republic - then you're doing good work.

You can always turn down their offers, sure they put on that don't-give-a-frak attitude but they need us, they'll always come crawling back with more offers. Without us they'd have no job.

Guess it depends on what you're prepared to do for money.

Also if the crew complain again, jettison them into space.

Things are never black and white when capsuleers are involved. For example it is very well possible that the last ship you bought was built with slave hands and sold to you by their master without you even realizing it. Remaining a 100% "pure" loyalist is actually quite a hard thing to do.

Be glad those minmatars didn't push you into a biomass reprocessor to keep the mission reward for themselves.

The current agent I am working for is truly a man of integrity that has the good of Minmatar citizens at heart. I and my crew have been buzy rooting out Serpentis terrorists and helping the good merchants and citizens of Minmatar. I feel like I am beginning to cleanse myself of my earlier compromise.

I found the agents in the Republic Justice Department Tribunal station in the Josekorn system to be pretty upright. Most of the work I did with them involved ferrying goods, performing surveillance on "dirty" officers, and rooting out Angel Cartel ops in the area. It's a nice area if you're looking to work for the Minmatar cause; nearby Hakeri has agents of the Sebiestor tribe in need of help as well.

Of course little did I know I'd be where I am today, heh. Ironic that a pilot who worked for the better part of a year with the Justice Department would be an outlaw now. I kind of miss those agents I worked with..

As an outlaw, I hope that you are still friendly to your own people. I would understand if you would prey upon the Amarr. What drove you to a life of crime?

I'm a Sansha's Nation loyalist, so that would probably answer all your questions.

As far as being friendly towards my own people, while I am incredibly reluctant to shoot at Republic vessels I will if ordered to by Overseer Hunter.

I'm afraid the slow degredation of your previous morality is the price you pay to be an infomorph Mr. Numenor.

At the end of the day, if you can say you've saved more lives than you've taken, then you've come out ahead.

Keep your eyes and your gun ports open.

All agents of the empires will make you do their dirty work for them. They do this so they can go on presenting the pristine facade of virtue and honor to naive future generations so that they too will grow up into good little servants. Lining their pockets with ISK and power over your fellow human, these are the things they truly care about.

Be your own man instead, Edaine.

I appreciate the thoughts. I think that in the long haul, I'd rather be a dissappointed idealist than a pessimist who is always right. I have found some causes to defend and help and I will seek those who will help and enable me to do what I value doing. I think there are some rotten eggs out there but also some positively motivated agents too.

As they say, honor isn't about making the right choices. It's about dealing with the consequences. I'm sure every capsuleer has done things in their early days that they now look back on with some degree of regret.
