Exactly. Whining players sometimes help to solve problems in the game by indicating to devs that something is wrong with game balance, mechanics, or whatever. If nobody would complain, the devs would assume that their game is perfect and never make any adjustments, iterations (  ) or expansions. One just have to distinguish between actual problems in game, trolls and noobs who whine because they suck at the game, thats the difficulty. Having said that, I think you might be a troll. |

it's not hard, just go to eve-search. count toal number of posters. compare with current subs. make % |

Maybe I can put it in terms you understand since you cant seem to follow what the issue is really about. In your carehome you really really like jello. You love the way it jiggles and looks. Your care takers tell you they are going to upgrade.. er improve the jello by adding things like fruit to the mix because your special. Nice plump red bits of fruit floating in a sea of jiggly goodness. You get excited and cant wait... but you wait.. for a year.. or more.. Finally the special jello is served and you find Prunes floating. You go WTF  and are told it is the fruit you were promised. So you complain er.. whine.  Now you still really like jello, have gotten the jello served throughout the carehome where some like the Prunes and Jello, some eat only the Jello spitting out the Prunes, and some only eat the prunes ignoring the Jello. So your caretakers have another great idea to make the fruit better because they listened to some patients complain. They could use cherries, but that would upset the mentally handicap.. er player that likes the prunes so they decide to make the prunes more like cherries by reducing the water in the mix and adding vinnigar because some CEO thought it might be a cool idea. One ****ing teaspoon at a time. Now your Jello is still jello, its getting a little more rancid every mix filled with stuff you didn't want but could live with.. and then some idiot says you cant complain??? At what point do we put aside our bedpans and take a stand against this ungodly slow death by transition of Jello (because we are BITTER OLD VETS)  if it keeps going the way it is the only players are going to be prune sucking vinnigar drinking helmeted players wondering where the playground went, why the Jello doesn't Jiggle and looks way too clear.. I hope you get the point but if you don't then stop and think that this is what is happening to JUST THE DESSERT, never mind what is happening behind the curtain to your main course of meat and potatoes..... hint: I'm guessing it has cheese... and whine.  |

1. There aren't many whiners. Because CCP lets us have alts (and multiple characters per account) the voice of one person can be made to look like the voices of a dozen.
2. Most of the whining is completely sarcastic/trolling. Most people don't care about what they whine for, they just want to see how people will react.
3. Of the actual whiners, 99% are ignored because they just whine, they don't provide a solution as to how the problem can be fixed. They just state an already obvious problem. |

That'll give you an upperbound at least. But you're getting false positives from CCP posts and unsubbed posts. I don't know eve-search in and out but I couldn't find any method of determining total number of posters. Best I could do was approximate by ranks of new posters. Of course the site would stop responding once I figured to try that route. |
