I have a complain to make.
By removing the attributes info for non-published skills from the SDD (dgmTypeAttributes table), you managed to break EVEMon and disable any accuracy on the displayed info or training time for those skills.
A heads-up notice, in the future, on such changes would be much appreciated. |

I'm trying to restore the .bak file into a new database and getting an error. This is the first time I've tried to do this. I'm following these instructions from the other thread: Quote: summary: open sql managment thing, rightclick database (the database tree header, not any specific database), restore database, from device, add the .bak file, select the db to restore, select the db to restore to, might have to adjust pathes in the other tab, go go go.
I have freshly installed ms sql server 2008 R2. I get as far as adding the .bak file to the 'specify backup' dialog. If I then click either Ok or Contents I get: The media family on device 'I:\downloads\eve\Incursion_1.4_396867\DATADUMP201104061056.bak' is incorrectly formed. SQL Server cannot process this media family. From some searching on the error it sounds like this means the download is corrupt. But I re-downloaded and got the same thing, and others are obviously getting it to work, so I must be doing something wrong. I've also downloaded the singlel file script, so I could try that if someone would post some noob-level instructions for loading it. Any help appreciated very much. |

Edited by: BoomChong Wong on 01/05/2011 04:51:41 Additional info, if it makes a difference:
I am running Win 7 x64, and (because I'm a visual studio developer) already had copies of VS 2008 and VS 2010 installed, as well as MS Sql Server 2005 and MS Sql Server 2008. I'd never used those earlier sql versions. I freshly downloaded 2008 R2 for this eve data. I have not found any updates to apply to it via windows update. During the install I took all default options.
I also tried copying the backup files to my C drive, since I saw something on the net about someone having trouble restoring from an external hard drive (but I was using my 'I' drive which is internal), anyhow, no difference.

a) make sure you are actualy using the right version of sql server. try deinstalling the older versions, or at least check what version is reported in help->about. b) make sure the pathes in the other-tab of the restore dialog point at something that actualy exists and is writeable by you. c) contact microsoft support. :P |

Edited by: BoomChong Wong on 04/05/2011 16:14:18 Thanks for your help, I finally got it by uninstalling everything with 'SQL' in the name and reinstalling 2008 R2. Tellingly, when I tried to connect to the db engine (before restoring) it failed and I had to mess around to get connected to the engine. Once I got the engine connection going the backup imported flawlessly.
So it looks like I was somehow using 2008 R2 to connect to an old DB engine and that was the problem. |

Edited by: Enu Zembasi on 10/05/2011 10:09:14 I just glimpsed over that data and I'm not sure... is there a table with all items in the game? Maybe its just buried inside all those relations that I'm not noticing it? A few days ago certain site went down, with hosted information on NPC ships (damage dealt, resists, special abilities, HP and such - very detailed and nicely put) - is there some official database for that? Or someone used ship scanner on every NPC ship and put up his own database?
Regards,
EDIT: invTypes seems to be items list. It also holds info about NPC ships, so I answered my own question. Maybe it will help some1. |

With the changes to (most of) agent's divisions, along with quality, how soon can we expect an updated SDD? |

Agreed. We're going to need a new data dump after the changes to agents. |

We need an accurate (up-to-date) one.
How comes staStations or mapDenormalize lack some stations ? e.g "6Z-CKS VII" is nowhere, yet the station has been built in 2009! Or do we have to query the sov API and figure it out ?

You do. Player-built outposts were never in SDD. |

Because Conquerable Stations aren't static data, therefore aren't in the Static Data Dump. They can (at least theoretically) change ownership day to day, so it it more appropriate to get that data from the dynamic API. |

Edited by: Etil DeLaFuente on 18/05/2011 08:39:35 Edited by: Etil DeLaFuente on 18/05/2011 08:34:49 Player built stations can't be destroyed therefore should be included in the static dump, owner has nothing to do with it. 57 conquerable stations are already present in staStations, maybe because they were not player built ?
I just want to use the CharacterInfo API, which gives the last known location (a station in that case), and dig some infos about that location. Unfortunately, i can't because some stations don't exist and the sov api does not gives enough info, only the solarSystemName is present. Do i have to build my own station list based on db dump and sov api ?
edit : Actually the ConquerableStationList API gives the list i need, seems i'll have to build my own list after all. |

Sometimes it's useful to have both the old and the new versions. The toolkit page doesn't have a log, and the link got edited out of the first post, so for posterity's sake, here's a link to the Incursion 1.4 SDE: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/data/Incursion_1.4_39687.zip |

I don't see any change. They're still indistinguishable from originals. |

Then you're missing something, because the icons have a clear and obvious difference. BPCs are now much lighter and have scan lines. |

Maestro AnySQL is a nice product for the occassional "data-from-this-to-that-format" tasks. |

Also, CCP, stop being cheap and modifying the initial post - it's confusing. Just make a new thread or at least a fresh post in the old thread when a new dump is out... (don't worry we'll pay for it :D) Edit: How ironic that I should need to edit this post after saying that.. |
