Hi Guys,
Long time reader, few time poster.

I am after Curse fitting advise as I am finding quite a few competing fittings that I can see the benefits of but need some experience added to the melting pot.

Current fittings that I've found:

Non faction version of Dagaon's Curse:

[Curse, PvP Shield ]

2x Medium Energy Neutralizer II
Medium Nosferatu II
2x Heavy Missile Launcher II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
3x Large Shield Extender II
Invulnerability Field II
Warp Disruptor II

2x Power Diagnostic System II
2x Nanofiber Internal Structure II

2x CCC I

5x Hammerhead II

[Curse, PvP Shield Nano MWD]

3x Medium Energy Neutralizer II
2x Small Energy Neutralizer II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
2x Large Shield Extender II
Medium Capacitor Booster II (Cap Booster 800)
Invulnerability Field II
Warp Disruptor II

2x Power Diagnostic System II
2x Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I

5x Hammerhead II

Both of these fittings have their advantages but it mainly comes down to tank and fitting a cap booster or NOS. In my fittings I won't need to fit a point as for now as I am only going to use it in fleets.

I am aware of Armour fits but they seem to lack the highly important factor of being able to dictate range. Also most Curse fits seems to be of the opinion that TD's are a waste of space apart from on Armour fits which can fit 4.

Any help with my fittings would be great whether you've flown a Curse or not but any personal experience would also be great be it flying a Curse or being killed by them Very Happy.

Many thanks,

Aranial.

Go with the second fit, and if possible lose an LSE for a tracking disruptor.

Cap recharge is for missions, booster all the way.

Edit: as this is for a gang, your neut/ewar power is more important than those launchers, and I'd also pack Minmatar drones. Hammerheads are nice on paper but have various practical disadvantages, especially when sent out at a distance like it seems you'll be doing.

... Also how did I manage to miss the actual edit button and hit reply instead. Blegh I need more sleep.

I've been watching this and I too was surprised by the lack of TD's:
Thriller

Edit: Also everyman and his blob seems to have Drakes / Missiles spam hence the larger tank but I'm up for being convinced otherwise :)

Meh :'[

would be nice to have one but midslots are limited and sometimes you just need other utility.

+1

People insist on tanking that beautiful ship while two tracking disruptors together with a nanofit makes you almost invulnerable to all turret ships.

You just have to know two things: Its not a solo ship, and stay away from missile boats. Then youre fine

TDs are your tank, nuke their optimal + falloff or their tracking and all their DPS goes out the window.
You won't be engaging Drakes anyway so always fit atleast one TD on a Curse.

3 medium and 2 small neuts is overdoing it, all you really need is to cap out your target enough to kill his MWD.
2 medium neuts is plentiful neuting, and 3 missile launchers provide a lot more DPS, killing your target faster.

Nos is useless unless you intend to engage multiple targets, Curses are for nuking cap, not keeping its own up with Nos.

Fit a cap booster and use shield extender rigs, trying to be cap stable otherwise takes up too many slots.

A Curse can solo, but a lot of pilots tend to dock up when a Curse warps in or gets close on directional.
Pilgrim is better for solo hunting, especially if you fit it with a probe launcher.

Swap one HML for a T2 cloak to avoid gatecamps and/or to do the afk-cloaking thing.

In my personally experience a curse needs more than just a cap booster for its supply of cap. Either put cap rechargers, power relays, power diags, and/or nos. The curse chews through cap boosters like crazy.

I personally don't use Nanofiber on the curse, I instead rely on the neutralizing power of the curse to keep the target away or off me. Its easier to be faster than anyone who can't use an mwd.

While in a gang I nos another target or a teammate who can spare extra cap, I can sustain 3 medium neutralizers, TD, and shield mods permanently.

[Curse, Gang]

3x Medium Energy Neutralizer II
Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I
Small Energy Neutralizer II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Large Shield Extender II
Warp Disruptor II
2x Invulnerability Field II
Tracking Disruptor II (Optimal Range Disruption)

Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I

5x Valkyrie II
5x Warrior II
5x Vespa EC-600
5x Hobgoblin II
