So this ship has recieved a LOT of hate. so I've been flying it and stuff and killing stuff with it and also losing a bunch because I'm a fukking idiot.
So you need to be able to get into blaster range and kill stuff but it's a slow ship so here's what I did -
[Enyo, The Red Racer]
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
DUAL OVERDRIVES
Gistii B-Type 1MN Afterburner
Dread Guristas Warp Scrambler
4 Neutron Blasters
Rocket Launcher
Don't underestimate the tank - this thing has 1,000 armor hp and 1,500 hull hp (!). EFT says it's got 7,500 ehp - that's a pretty sick tank for a damage control.
Speed - with an AUX THRUSTER rig, this thing goes 1,636 m/s with my skills overheated with no imps and eft says 325 overheated dps with antimatter.
The DG scram is because of those *** kiter who I dont wanna get killed by again.
Now, is there any way to improve it? Pls no "buy an Ishkur!" I hate the ishkur its like wtf cause evryone flies it.
It kills shield tanked Thrashers, also a Thorax because drones die so easily and a stabber who attempted to kite. Wheres the love? ive killed every ship whos come into scram range with this except for the slicer who came into scram range when i was pretty much dead already. so wheres the love? Taranises are just such easy prey for this thing its stupid.
It's the Daredevil's bastard kin.
EDIT ; havent losted this pimp variation yet either. amazin ship it needs a bit more agility though, trying to catch those kiting crows who are shooting you on a gate is nearly impossible its like TURN FASTER OMG.

If you are not bothering with a tank and having problems with getting kited fit rails and never have to worry about being kited again, you lose some paper DPS and some applicable DPS under 4km or so but the Enyos bonuses are perfect for railguns.
But then again if it already works why do you need to change anything? |

Just curious...as it has a AB + 2x OD's...will that thing actually ORBIT? Yes it's "fast" and probably will keep itself speedtanked even when webbed, but still. Can it bend those curves? |

Though, don't you dislike Merlin's and other ships that got a severe boost with the rocket changes? When did you start using the gistii b-type after burner? Your fit appears good, but I've had trouble falling even into the "like" phase of this assault frigate because it is easier to kite than a number of others.... Only idiot Taranises would get within blaster range of an enyo or ishkur. It has nothing to do with your fit. been thinking about this fit which is quite similar. Yeah but it has an Afterburner. A Hurricane can go that fast, with a Microwarpdrive, but once it's turned off you are a lot slower. Originally by: Dr Sheepbringer

Actually a lot of the time it'll shoot right past the enemy and then slowly set itself into orbit which is why I'm switching the aux thruster rig for a polycarb/low friction nozzle. Originally by: Bumblefck

I'd go neutron and falloff fit (one TE is enough for that) over a rail fit due to the lack of web. Overall it's a fun ship that I am generally good at using against the wrong targets :S |

After dislike it very much in the past i had greats good fight in it.
Now it s one of my favorite ships.
The funny thing about Enyo is: it s cheap and everyone will engage you.
Btw i roll something different. Overdrive and Aux rigs are pretty meh cause it will be always a slow fat boat compared to any other fregate size hull, so better take the best of what it can do: dps, tank, tracking and falloff

Enyo is a solid little frigate, but suffers from the same issues as the other AFs with less than 3 mids... it has less than 3 mids.
I wouldnt bother trying to zoom zoom, as anything with a web will still play keepaway and be faster, even when you're overheating. Get a TE on there, plug the explosive hole with a reactive plating, and unless your filthy rich, maybe think twice on that DG warp scram, that and a B-type AB seems an awful lot to dump in a frigate... try it with TII parts and a JB5 scram first, get a feel for it, and then make upgrades as needed?

What about a nos instead of the rocket launcher? Every time I fly a blaster frig I get neuted out, so now I put nos's on them all, and it's not such a problem. |
