Looking for someone with one or more of the following skillsets: Forum management guru (as in a forum for EI), bug/issue tracking management, "help desk" style questioning and answering, a unique perspective on how to bring real accounting/finance to reporting, and anyone interested in analytics and statistical analysis. If you'd like to know about what the project is (it's a few things), I recommend you read one of the many threads about it. Theres not really much I can bring but I'd be willing to help.

I was within the Advisory group and focused on IT Controls so my strength is not formal accounting. Check out the thread on accounting that I linked to in the OP. Those are the kinds of problems I'm trying to work on.

Just posting a document won't do. But I haven't posted any documents! Damnit, I knew those idiots at the ISD:IC were going to ruin my projects by writing about them! So how do I undo the damage? Scale up the project? Make a big flaming ISK fountain come out my... afterburner?

You may wish to build on other efforts first or...simply go ahead and do it the best way you can. Perhaps your first attempt doesn't meet your expectations, but if you do the best you can then the second try may land closer to the mark. Kind of like how I make Banks in EVE.

But I've been doing it for three years. Fourth time's a charm? Not sure really...maybe you need to network more with higher visibility people? A little celebrity involvement may do you some good.

We'll exit the beta period in about 60 to 90 days, at which point we can make a call on if and how much people will get paid. EBANK volunteers (including myself) went unpaid for a full year before we recognized enough profits to pay anyone anything, and even then it was a pittance. If money is your primary motivation then this may not be the opportunity for you.

I've got enough on my plate for the next month so I wasn't really intersted in a position atm regardless. I'll probably help out with actioning withdrawals via your teller system, though, as I frequently find myself in gatecamps.

I think you're an intelligent individual, but I don't think that you are as aware of the limits of your abilities as you should be. Have you demonstrated real acceptance or understanding of your mistakes and the impact they had on others? Without this awareness of your limits, you are destined to keep repeating the same mistakes again and again. This makes you unsuitable for public responsibilities in my opinion - particularly running another bank, it really seems like hubris.

I assume that the helpdesk is basically a cross between dealing with customer service and being a bit of a receptionist. My coverage may be a little limited due to not having any internet access whilst at work but I am usually around for 3-5 hours every evening (game time). Nice friendly face, good communication skills as well as an above average grasp of the language. What's not to love?

My involvement in the project has been since day one. However, don't be turned off because the abrasive guy on the forum is involved. A lot of the theory and considerations which revolve around EVE is my deepest involvement. As it gets closer to beta and full release both Hexxx would like another pair of eyes and a fresh mind, involvement to make sure we didn't group think ideas and concepts. I fully agree with this, years in the making and only two mind working together on a single project there are bound to be some collective agreements on things that might not be the best choice. If you join the team feel free to look scrutinize all aspects of this project. Opinions about processes, ideas, and general critiquing will be meet with an open mind. It also will not be the pages and pages of threads and posts previous projects Hexxx and I worked with. In other words, how I appear on this forum doesn't happen in a project Hexxx and I have been working on for years. But I did want to make an appearance in this thread to let people know that the project does involve myself. I know I might be coming off a little self absorbed here, and that's not the intension, I didn't want people to feel duped with working with someone they might utterly despise.

People should note that Sencnes and I have indeed been talking about and working on this project for over two years. As I said in the original business proposal that I linked in the OP, it's a partnership of Sencnes and I so we both have to agree on new additions to the team. We also have two other people already helping us (one with accounting/reporting advice and the other with some of the graphics) but recently we came to the conclusion that a few more helping hands would do us good.

I can talk to you about it in-game...I tried to address the mistakes, criticisms and what I would have done differently in the resignation thread but I'm not sure that it's clearly summarized what I'm doing to address the shortcomings of the previous design/model/business. I do intend to address this more throughly with examples and an outline of every single posting activity and which sub-ledger that financial activity posts to. I will maintain real-time financial statements and release them on a monthly basis. Every 0.01 Isk will be accounted for. I can show you what I have so far if you'd like. As to the impact of my mistakes...I have not forgotten and I do intend to make good use of the shares EBANK has distributed assuming this is a profitable project. I sacrificed all of my ISK on my character and in my EBANK account when I resigned. I even stepped back from the daily MD discussions for almost half a year. And yes, I maintain a willful ignorance of the limits of my abilities. I believe I can do anything given enough time...I intend to prove that with this project.

And I'm cool with you guys using my hard earned ISK as a metric for your roleplaying. I know that as an investor I am lower then scum and that because you have my funds you are an omnipotent MD elite. I welcome any task that let's you live out your Internet spaceship financial guru status. That being said, I have 17 million, can I help?
