I will concede that Minmatar hides do make wonderful wall hangings, and as an added bonus, inspire increase productivity in the remaining slaves, I mean staff.

The Caldari back story does seem to appeal a larger section of the player base than any other race. I don't know many people who rolled anything other than Caldari for their first character, apart from myself. I guess they appeal to a similarly large chunk of the CCP staff. I wouldn't say it's holding hybrids back though, after all there are hybrid toting Caldari ships which need even more love than the Gallente hybrid boats. |

Fixing hybrid turrets might be a good start. An even better start would be kicking out the guy who is responsible for ship designs but hates gallente, as seen during the fanfest.
His Caldari ship design was also ugly as hell. |

they 'love' caldari because the Scorpion is one of the only ships they have upgraded with new shiney graphics and whirlybobs that rotate like space radars.
