Just sat and watched CCP Yokai talking to StevieSG, he said he came to fanfest last year as a player and now he works for CCP and it got me to thinking, how many of CCP's staff started off as players? And how does that number compare to other MMO's? |

A lot do end up as staff. In fact just after that aired Yokai's son was hired as CCP's new head of PR.
Fake edit: Word just came in that he was promoted to CEO. |

I've been playing since 09-2004 and came to work at CCP 12-2009. Unfortunately Kai had to turn down the PR position... it requires activities after his bedtime. |

I too played EVE first. I started playing EVE in 2006 and started with CCP in 2009.
OMG so much lag on the Fanfest wireless I double posted. But I do want to add that I do PVP, but I consider myself a carebear cause most of the time I PVP I die horribly. |

Pretty similar story for me too: Started playing in 2004. Attended FF 2008 and 2009 as a player. Decided I liked it here so much I decided to stay! |

I started playing in May 2004. Came to my first Fanfest in 2006 and from there went on to become a volunteer at CCP. In 2007 I joined the Community team and it has been mozo ever since |
