The New Eden Chronicles Episode #02 - CCP Dev InterviewsDate: Recorded on Thursday February 24th, 2011 Hosts: CrazyKinux, Memoocan Guests: CCP Daishi, CCP Manifest This special episode was originally supposed to have a few segments, including the only one that made it in the final episode. At almost 90 minutes, the interview that Memoocan and I did, managed to take over the whole show, and as such no other segments were recorded. Interviewed during this show were Mike Read, aka CCP Daishi, who is Director of Events and Convetions at CCP Games, and Ned Coker, aka CCP Manifest, the man behind most of EVE Online's PR! During the show we had a chance to learn how both of them managed to infiltrate the Icelandic behemoth that is CCP Games today, and it made for some great story telling - then again, Mike is well known to enjoy telling a good story, his story! We also covered CCP's new willingness to help out Fan gatherings and other community driven initiatives. Mike was/is all over that one! A good chunk of time was also spent talking about PAX East 2011 and EVE Fanfest 2011 (#evefanfest), both of which are coming up in over the next 2 weeks. Overall a great show! |

Does anyone have any comments on this? Did anyone listen to the recording? Doesn't anyone else care? Or did people just read my little summary and go away? No trolls here... blasphemy!!! Can't wait for the live broadcast of fanfest or the resulting youtube videos With greater differentiation on what is actually being worked on, what the current direction is for eve, and what the future could hold this fanfest will be more informative and realistic than the previous one. Hopefully there will be ways to communicate to the devs at fanfest in live broadcasts for those who couldn't make this fanfest. Hopefully everything works out well /optimist cap on |

good podcast, a bit long perhaps, so you might want to take a break or two when listening to this one.
It was cool te hear about how they got into CCP and what is planned for fanfest. |

I listened to it before it appeared here. :) It was a great interview. Good to hear a bit "insider" experience to getting to work with CCP |

I've updated my post with a new link to the show which should fix temporarily the problem. Working on a permanent solution. ADDITIONAL INFO: Indeed, the response has been tremendous and I went through my 5Gb monthly bandwidth in one day. I quickly upgraded to Podbean's Advanced Plan which should have solved the issue. For some unforseen reason the mp3 files and banners aren't coming up. I've requested the help of Podbean's Support, but so far they've been dead! I'm looking at switching the podcast over to libsyn. Will keep you folks posted! |
