This. An unfit Ares with an unskilled pilot has >2900mm resolution when it has support from 2 Rem SeBo-IIs. With full skills, it'll have >3600mm. Every corp has those unskilled players, noobs and/or industrials, that don't really add much to a combat fleet beyond being one more ship on the field while they learn which way is up. Rather than putting them in a T1 frig & telling them to fail at tackling, when your going to have skilled tacklers already, put them in a support cruiser loaded down with Rem SeBos and some support DPS to get them on the kill mail. Now your noob has a real job that's easy to do but is still important to the gang, and your tacklers can fit for combat. |

Because most EVE FC's are constructed completely of reject.

Nothing extreme about it. Provided you have a good connection to server, 3k+ scan res will catch pods on undock and mess up cloak/mwd junkies on gates
Lot easier on the individual fit if you set up two interceptors with remote boosters .. hell, you could get away with having the dps ships provide remotes.
well I mean't overkill by means of extreme... and no you can't catch pods, your connection doesn't make any difference, its the targets connection that makes the difference... if the target is not having connection problems, you cant catch any pod any where, aligned,at 0, coming out of dock, doesnt matter even if you have 10000mm scan res... like I said, lock as fast as you can, the activation delay will let the fast moving ships get away... may be you can catch ceptors or frigs at undock but not pods |

Why are you guys making a distinction between a covert cloak and any other variety?
It's not like the non-covert cloaks take longer to press "F1", you know... |

No, it's how people are able to lock targets that fail at cloaking and pods that fail at warping, but you don't need 3k scan res for that.
Instalocking is a myth, if you do it , its just because the cloaker doesnt know how time his recloaking. |

Exactly. The pod being the ONLY existant instant warp "ship" the only way to be able to target them before they warp out is that the guys has a bad conexion or he sucks about how to "warp to". Infortunatly for some players they get caught and provide the "pop" sound we like so much before the so awesome tears Quote: It's not like the non-covert cloaks take longer to press "F1", you know...
This! But some people don't seem to understand it. |
