I have had an idea to make hulkageddon a bit more interesting.

For the miners:

For the one week ores will be available in higher sec systems. For example 0.4 ore would be available in 0.5 systems, 0.5 ore would be available in 0.6 systems etc.

This would give those dedicated miners a chance to make some good isk.

For the combatents:

Each mining ship class will have a bounty placed on it. The person that destroys the ship gets the bounty.

Normal high sec policing would still be in effect. Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.

So you want CCP to create a mechanic that coordinates with a player controlled system? That is an absolutely terrible idea. Also the sudden appearance of this ore in those systems doesn't make any sense.

And I am pretty sure the 0.4 ores are already found in highsec in other empires.
Not to mention that miners still get the highest value per m³ from Veldspar. Atleast when it comes to high/lowsec ores.

And they could already get massive amounts of low sec ores in high sec by finding hidden belts through exploration. They usually arent bothered with exploration though if they veld to mine.

Not quite. I can consult my spreadsheet if you want. I never mine, tho. Razz

I dont really have access to current jita prices to put in my own spreadsheets just now. So it's qute possible that my numbers are outdated or false.
If anyone has some current facts, they are most welcome to enlighten me.

Well, if your spreadsheet is as good as mine you'll just need to look up Jita mineral values. Razz

Of the easy Empire ores Pyroxeres tends to be best lately, because of the high Noxcium price.
Veldspar, Scordite and Plagioclase are roughly equal, so Veldspar would be the best of the lot due to availability.
Do you want a full list? Laughing

Found a thing on the internet that apparently could grab prices from the market. So yes I was wrong. Veld isnt the most profitable by far.

Pyroxeres is the best highsec ore atm.
Or Jaspet if you can find it through exploration.

Still it doesnt have an impact on my point though. (not sure what my point was though, except to say if miners really wanted to mine jaspet with a bounty on their ship they might aswell mine in low sec in the first place. What do they care if whoever kills them get concordokened and get a bounty or if they simply escape.)

heh.. I had to scroll up and look what your point was originally. Razz
And indeed, it is untouched. Not like I tried to argue with it! Only with Veldspar being the best. Cool

So *that's* where you draw the line on making sense in Eve... Not that ships can only go 300m/s top speed or anything else like that...
