Just a quick update: we're working on the site tonight and prioritising issues to do with server load, followed by the "Oh my God My Eyes" button to report dudes and other eyesores. Thanks for all the positive responses so far  We'll use this thread to keep you updated on improvements. |

by the way some faces i've seen have like a 100+ votes and another face have like 10 and they both entered at about the same date, which makes me think your algorithm is completely random and match 1 vs the x others one time each without considering that all faces should have an equivalent number of votes.
and oh by the way... prune all those male faces !
and one more thing, once you get 100 negative vote just get it out of the rotation...

the Voting seems skewed because you don't know what yes votes are being compared to. This should be more like an average rating system...
vote 1-10 for each picture. then an average score presented. |

The gender of a character isn't currently part of the publicly available API information we can access, so we can't pre-screen guys at the moment. What we're working on tonight is a way of reporting guys which we can moderate so that it won't be abused to eliminate genuine competition. So if people want to continue being silly and submitting guys, we can't stop that right now; by tomorrow, we should be able to remove them through reporting though.
Since there seems to be such a massive interest in rating guys against each other, we'll seriously consider a hottest guy in new eden page too. Just have to get this one working first.
And the voting system is based on elo rankings, so that the level of competitor the babe wins or loses against is factored in to change her standings on the leader board, like in chess. So it's not just the number of wins but the quality that count. |
