Hi. While on a mission run, I managed to loot some contraband from pirates. After that, I warped back to the home system and got warped jammed by the Navy after a jump-in. I had to pay a fine for the contraband.

Is there anyway to successfully smuggle contrabands to a station after jumping in? If there is, how do I do it? Can it be done in destroyers or a battleships?

Thank you.

You can use an Orca and place the items in the corporate hangars.

Can Orca fly in high sec? Other than that, any other ways? Thanks.

Yes... an Orca can fly in high sec... some say you can also use a very fast ship to elude customs... I've only used the Orca.

Answer this for me, then.

I see people smuggling things; drugs, alcohol, boosters, etc.

But, what the hell is the use for them? I mean why is there demand on some of those commodities?

Boosters give you temporary ship buffs to any ship you fly during the duration. In PVP in which you are either using a very valuable ship, or you just want a slight advantage over the other players, you eat the boosters.

To use the highly potent boosters you need appropriate skills to make it worth it.

The correct question would be:

What do ppl do with them IN HI SEC.

Hehe.

I.

There are 3 main groups of boosters.

1) NPC drugs that are illegal and I haven't ever seen a use for.
2) Player made boosters that are made from k-space gas harvesting sites and reacted in lowsec and are illegal
3) player made boosters (still lowsec) that are low potency but are highsec legal.

I've never gotten into the booster market myself, but I imagine the main cost is the rarity of BPCs, which afaik, are only available in 0.0 COSMOS constellations, and are rarely for sell.

Bear this in mind, in case you didn’t already know.

Getting caught with contraband is chance based. I had a habit of double clicking the jump on gate button and I’m fairly sure that it is on the click that the dice is rolled, so to speak. I was rolling it twice, or more, and increasing my chances of getting caught as a result.

Synth is the weakest form of a booster, and is legal everywhere.

Booster effects show-up in the augmentation tab. Skills increase the duration of the positive effect, and reduce the chance and severity of side-effects.

I leave the drugs from mission drops behind. They really aren't that valuable, and more trouble than their worth.

I've always found the drugs from mission drops to be pretty much worthless anyway. So if I'm jumping out of system after the mission I just leave them, not worth the trouble.

But If I'm going back to my agent in the same system, I do take them, then I'll usually bring in some spiced wine and exotic dancers to that station too.Laughing
