Considering pod pilots are pseudo-immortal, spend 99% of their time inside the pod, and have little to no physical contact with other pod pilots, let alone normal "Humans", I would have to assume not.
New pod pilots are simply normal people who are accepted as Pod Pilots. We have those normal plebians planetside for mating needs. |

The question is = Do pod pilots get pregnant? My answer is = Not all pod pilots, just the females. Medical clones are insurance to make sure you and your bloodline survive. Besides, haven't you realized that when you dock your ship, you leave the pod to enter stations for various things like sex, drugs and rock n roll.  |

I see no reason why they couldn't get pregnant.
Although I wouldn't risk getting podded, it seems very difficult upgrading your clone with a foetus in it and the traumatic experience may cause permanent damage to the child. I always imagined awaking in a new clone is something like what the Cylons in Galactica went through. |

This conversation topic has arisen once or twice, thankfully tastefully, in The SUmmit channel in game (a role-play channel).
Personally, I go with the theory that only the original body of a clone is fertile - You are made out of reconstituted biomass with a lot of replacement 'organic' parts that just so happen to be cosmetically pleasing instead of the Frankenstein-esque abomination it reads as in fiction.
Bearing this in mind, and also bearing in mind the constant hazards of pod pilot life, you'd likely take some 'time-off' for having a child (as a female) or test tube it (as a lot of Deteis have done - see the ancestry options in char creator). So as well as having to have a clone by law, there is likely a stipulation that your gametes are on ice somewhere under your legal control, just in case your birthday suit gets nuked before you get jump clones.
That, at least, is my theory. |

Biological samples are in storage to use for the purpose of cultivating your clones. It is likely that it also includes everything needed for artificial reproduction. I don't see how the clones could be infertile though. It just doesn't make any sense. We are told that the clone is complete in every sense, with fully functioning organs and peripheral neural system. You can't just happily accept that you can create complex things like a fully functioning body from biomass in all other aspects and then suddenly ignore all that when it comes to the reproduction mechanism. There is nothing mystical or non-biological about the reproduction mecahnism that separates it from other bodily functions, and in the process of creating fully functional clones, recreating the reproduction organs would just be a minor task among many others. |
