Read the notes people! Easy for you people that download 1.5GB in minutes to say. Remember not everyone is fortunate enough to have those insane inetrblags speeds.

Read the notes people! I started when CCP said the patch was up at the beginning of this thread. It is CCP who have wasted hours of my life because they did no testing.

If you are affected by this, it would be really helpful if you could file a bug report, including information on your download speed and ISP. Meanwhile, you should be able to download the full patch manually at a normal speed. HHmmm!! Me don't think so...

Mysterious Soldier	Posted - 2011.01.18 16:47:00 - [1314] Trust me, 3 hours is nothing compared to the wait I have. 17 hours for the patch. Before anyone mentions it, yes I did manually patch it after the auto failed to impress me. Manual was not much better as it said 9 hours then in the space of a minute jumped after to 13 hours and stayed there. I stopped and auto patched again, assuming the server fix would speed things up. Oh, how wrong I was. 32kb/s is the best I can get from the download. compared to other games that go up by 5mb/s. And the game I'm comparing it too is about 4 years old. I don't mind waiting but it is a tad unfair when people have 5 minutes to wait and there are those like myself sitting and going "17 hours?!" I think i'm going to just forget about playing eve for the next few days whilst it downloads. Xbox it is, instant action!

I hope your right because there was a problem on test with the game just staying on that black screen fingers cross they fixed that prelaunch

Yeah, they said the patch was up. And they also said not to download it. 10:10 UTC Please refrain from downloading any preliminary patches or clients until we announce that the final build is complete. Downloading an early patch which is subsequently rebuilt may result in you needing to download another full client which will be frustrating. We will announce when the final build is complete. 16:00 UTC Downtime has been extended to 16:15 UTC. UpdateTranquility is now open and accepting connections. Fly safe! Next time read the freakin' notes.
