I was thinking about a few of the problems people have with capitals/supercapitals.
Namely: Supercarriers are entirely too hard to kill, and Dreads have fallen in popularity.
I thought of a relatively simple answer.
Remove siege mode; make it an inherent damage bonus. Make dreads fast for capital ships. Slower than a BS, but not capable of being kited away by any other capital ship.
Replace the siege module with a capital interdiction module. It would
not have an AoE bubble, but would instead be a single target infinite-point that
only works on capital ships.
So now, when you drop your fleet of dreads on a supercap fleet, they actually have something to worry about.
Keep their EHP/Damage/Etc as it is now. Maybe adjust tracking to account for them firing out of siege.
This would make a fleet of dreads actually scary again, as you can't just fly away from the unmoving failheap and/or focus 100 fighter bombers on the few HICs and warp/jump out.
