I can only take screenshots with free tattoos and i'd like to make some out the locked ones. its also kinda difficult to place the tattoos and then position. I'd suggest maybe for the next version or release to include a body image or something that you can click on to select where on the body that you want your decal to go to. A selectable box or quick key that allows you to pin the decals onto a selected position would make rotating etc easier also.  thanks in advance. Inappropriate pics removed as per the forum rules. This whole Microtransaction business is a slippery slope...First it's "only cosmetic" then CCP realizes that it's a gold mine. Next thing you know, it's "PLEX for everything!"...

True, but there is a difference; in the case that someone purchases PLEX with ISK, they are using in-game resources, which are available to everyone who pays a monthly fee, to get additional in-game items/boost. In the case someone pays $$$ for PLEX, this is someone using out of game resources to get a boost in the game. In effect, if EVE turns into a microtransaction type game, whoever is richer IRL, or rather whoever feels like dumping the most money into a game, will be more effective in game. I think it's a crappy business model. I don't even like seeing PLEX in game. Like I said, slippery slope, be this... EDIT - It's actually a fantastic business model, as it's shown to increase profits for companies, but from a game design point of view, it's awful  |

Agreed, this whole "PLEX Credit" thing is alarming to say the least, if I'm being honest I felt that the PLEX system itself was the first step on a seriously slippery slope, on one hand it was great to be able to use ISK to buy gametime, but it also created an easy means to convert real cash into isk. This current culture of "in app purchases" and micro-transactions while making huge amounts of cash, absolutely destroy a games integrity. What's the point of paying to play a game where no amount of skill can compete with someone who is willing to spend excessive amounts of real life cash to have all of the best stuff? This is probably something that happens in Eve already due to the whole PLEX thing, any extension of that can only be a bad thing. I think I'd be disappointed if CCP do jump on such a mainstream money making bandwagon, I feel this loses sight of what Eve is, and thats anything but mainstream, its also very "Activision" in its nature, as they are the current kings of trying to find other ways to make people pay more for something they already pay for. It also goes a long way to creating an uneven playing field where real life wealth becomes the decider and not skill. TL;DR Don't do it CCP, think of the poor people. |

This whole microtransaction stuff is marking a fundamental shift in thinking at CCP. Instead of creating a great game and making a "space sandbox" equally available to everyone, they are doing stuff to maximize their income. This also isolates parts of the playerbase so that they feel inferior to others because they have "a cooler" ship/character/costume, etc... And the only way to get it would be to pay for it. I for one actively encourage everyone to shut down their accounts if CCP continues down this route. It will be as obnoxious to play as LOTR. |

to add on some defense for ccp. For ccp to expand to meet our needs especially hardware wise, they need to get some extra income some how. remember 15 bucks a month alone sometimes isnt enough when you are trying to expand your mmo. and dont make references to blizzard please, remember before wow they had several pc and snes games that created their huge amounts of initial income.
Now, I agree, plex for tats is a stupid idea, come on ccp. I would rather have no new char creator than one where i have to pay a ton of plex to make the exact same char i had before. |

I don't mind CCP making some extra cash as they should be rewarded for their awesome work, but I'd prefer if it didn't imbalance the game as a result. If they want to make more cash then release an iPhone/Android app that lets you change skills, read your mails and even maybe Eve chat or something, there are lots of features they could add that go way beyond anything currently on offer, I'd be willing to pay a few quid for that, safe in the knowledge that owning it or not owning it wouldn't imbalance the game. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person that would pay for something like that. |

its probably version 2 out of 5 for that tattoo? You used to get that with the tops on sisi to change between full and shorter versions. |

Of course. That's what they settled on after suggesting remap-for-PLEX got them kicked in the groin until there was nothing left there. Instead, they said they'd only do PLEX-for-vanity items… and tattoos certainly count as that. |

Interesting sub note, you either fotoshoped this, or you hacked the client to get this to show up.
you dont want to know what CCP does to peoples accounts who try to show that they have mad Haxorskills by modding the client. especialy on subjects that they have been shown to be a bit thin skinned about recently.

sorry if there are 60k loged online players. That means they have x5 subs that amout or even more. 150kX15$ 150k x15 EURO half of base plays EURO if you dont know. Gives around 450k+ $ per month. they will pay like (lol) 2k $ for electricity and bandwith ? REst goes for salary,tax ,office renatl fees. You are delusional, they are making plenty money. And cuting edge server cost 10k $. they could buy 1 server node each month and wouldnt notice it in income. Guess frm where they are founding world of darkness mmo and dust for consoles. I can confirm there is nothing like that on any test server, or on any code i know about. What happens in the future is anyone's guess but i doubt there will be anything like that in the middle of character creation. |
