Because it's a step on the way to making the world's greatest "science fiction simulator extraordinaire" which is CCP's stated long-term aim (see Torfi Frans Olafssen's comments from 12:42 to end). Many people have wanted to do this, but have either shied away from or underestimated the monumentality of the tast. It's what most s-f geeks in the world would like to play, and there's many, many hundreds of thousands of them in the world. Intelligently, CCP started with the "easy" part (the spaceship game), and are gradually working their way through to the more "difficult" parts (eventually, third-person combat, ground and aerial combat, etc.) |

He was joking.  One Expansion per Season, Incursions Winter 2010, Incarna 2011. That is when it will come out and as with all expansions the exact release date will not be given until 3-4 weeks before the Expansion. |

They said it will be summer this year. Yes it is still a bit vague, but it tells us, that the focus is now going in to finishing that project and CCP thinks it is doable within that time frame, naturally not taking in to account unforceen obstacles. The reason we can take it a bit more seriously than the normal vague statements, that you and others seem to take as promise of an impendinf release, is that CCP has announced that most of the dev teams are now working on that project and the new character creator, which is a vital component of that feature, is ready for the first iteration and is released in little over 2 weeks. They have pulled extra people from other projects to work on Incarna, so I think they are serious about getting the first iteration out as soon as possible. |

Keep in mind it will be for ages 13 and up, so instead of stripclubs and brothels you should be thinking more along the lines of juicebars and ball pits.
