Greets,

Recently I've been wondering if it's possible for the trading community to take a stand on some general issues to be fixed. Such as *fixing* various market related game mechanics (I'm not even going into implementing new features..)

For instance the 'cancel order' option from the wallet popup. After several years we still have no feature to enable some confirmation window so it'll be possible avoid canceling orders by mistake.
The whole click-infested mechanic of updating orders. I'm not suggesting dumbing the game down, but for instance double clicking on an order might bring a relevant market search instead of item's general info.

It took us great deal of time to have quickbar implemented. Perhaps we might as well start planning for future fixes so we could have them in a year or two ?

As for the topic title, I was wondering in general if we as traders community can have any impact on the whole eve, in coordinated way. This might help spread the message somehow, and could be interesting 'event' on it's own. My own imagination is very limited, thus asking you to share your opinion on the subject.

Cheers,
delfy4

I would love a confirmation window, especially as they like to move cancel order, around on the drop down menu.

That sounds like a nice start. Has that been stated by any reliable source ?

It's really shame that despite the impact traders community is making on eve world for years we've been the most neglected niche whenever it came to fixing badly implemented features or introducing new ones. Do we have our own CSM representative at all ? Perhaps we should bribe some of them if that's the only way to get things done ? :)

Yes, you've got the right idea delfy. I agree with you on the cancel order.

I'd also like an option where you can set up a new order and it pulls up either the current leading buy price or sell price, depending on what you choose. Every time I want to sell stock, it pulls up the current highest buy order, meaning I have to retype the current highest sell order. And vice versa for placing a buy order.

The nice thing about the somewhat cumbersome aspects of market orders is that it keeps casual traders out - giving us daytraders more control :)

There's no doubt in that, but somehow I think the majority will agree that tricking noobs in starter systems into looting your cans to get aggrod and shooting them for lolz is not really ethical.
Why market should be any different ?

I agree with Aureus on this. The mechanics may be non-user friendly but it is a well known danger. Changing it would mean less grief for the casual trader resulting in more competition and less profits for me. I guess the question is which is greater: loss due to the cancel order option or loss due to greater competition.

I'll stick with the devil I know Smile

No. And I think any effort trying will be a waste of time. And on top of that I'm pretty convinced these days they do not deserve feedback anymore.

Did you notice they were kinda celebrating themselves because of having redesigned neural remapping UI ?

I did.

What you mention is a bannable offence, hardly comparitive, plus you dont even understand the issue.

I'd really like to be able to buy listed goods at the price listed without needing to click on each individual order.

If I want 500 Heavy Missle Launcher II's and the lowest at a station was 800k with 7 at that price, 21 at 825k and 32 at 845,999.57 2 at 845,999.58 1 at 845,999.61 200 at 867,555.57 , 468 at 885k, I'd like to be able to click on the 468, put in quantity 500 and buy the 500 at the prices along the line listed above.

Often there are far more listed in groups of 2 or three along the way.

1. 'I would love a confirmation window, especially as they like to move cancel order, around on the drop down menu.'

2. I would love a 'search box' in the 'corp orders/my orders' tab.

feel free to add to the list. Smile

I just want my own buy/sell orders to be highlighted in a different color in the market. That way I can click through all the different items I deal with and see if I'm the highest/lowest.

A highlight on my own orders and a warning screen when canceling orders. That's all I want for this years Christmas. By the look of it, I'm not even getting that much :)

Highlighted own orders and right-click modifiable from the market details screen have been on my list for years.

Ah I forgot that one. When I started playing with the market I really missed that option. Don't miss it that much nowadays.

Yes! And color coding of your orders to be based on criteria you decide would be amazing!
