I put together a quick and dirty SP/Hour calculator for the new system starting after Dec 14th. It allows you to input your skill remap and implants, and you get training rates for various skill categories. That way you can test new neural remaps to see which one will give you the best results before committing to them for a year.

The file is a zipped OpenOffice spreadsheet. Linky!

Edit:
Here is the file saved from OpenOffice in Excel format: Linky!

Great Idea! Good on ya for taking the time and effort to do this.

Unfortunately it does not seem to work in Excel. I did the autosums for the neural mapping bit but I don't know how you got the SP/hr part. Is there anyway you could give me the formulae you used so I (and perhaps others) can use this tool? I would be happy to upload the finished Excel file and link it here.

Alternatively could you save it as a .xlsx or .xls file and link that too?

OpenOffice is a free downloadable office suite kind of like Microsoft Office. You can get it here.

Or, try the Excel-format file I uploaded and linked in the first post. I don't know how well OpenOffice saves in Excel format though.

I think u are terribly wrong, or one of us did not get the new system, let me explain:P
U said there that we start with a base of 17 =17-5 min=12 base that eve is replacing the learning's skills, but in fact we have like this my friend, 8 that we had + 12 points from learning skill this giving a 20 of start and then we can remap 14 points but no less than 5 in one attribute, and the 12 points we cannot touch, so let me know if i am wrong, but any way i can change there myself the calculation is ok:)
so thx for the initiative.

You are wrong.

The '8 that we had' was 5 minimum plus 3 remap points.

Attribute minimum for the old system was 5.
Attribute minimum for the new system is 17. This is the old minimum 5 plus the 12 new points CCP is giving us.

Then you have a total of 14 points to remap (add) as you choose. The maximum you can add to any one attribute is 10.

When CCP said the new character attributes would be 20/20/19/20/20, that already includes the 14 remap points -- 3 in INT, 3 in PER, 2 in CHA, 3 in WIL, and 3 in MEM.

Trust me. I know what I'm talking about. :)

Okey-dokey folks, looks like both the OpenOffice and Excel formats work fine. Yay! Links are in the first post.

If you have any comments or questions, go ahead and post 'em!

lol :P

You already know that if you want to keep your f*cked-up stats, you don't get to remap. Your new stats will be 23/15/18/18/25 (28/20/23/23/30 with +5 implants).

Google docs version for those who prefer using their browsers. Note that you will need to copy it to a new sheet, Google currently doesn't allow making only selected fields publicly editable (AFAIK) and I don't want some jackass wiping it out.
