Hello lads!

First, what is the best minmatar high-sec level four missioning location?

I was hoping to get some help with level five fits.
I have two characters, one can fly all gallente/caldari supcaps, and the other can fly all minmatar supcaps.

Any suggestion on ship setups? I was thinking unprobable T3s but it seems hard to be able to get enough passive tank. How much do I need to tank for a L5?

Thanks!

I can't help with the agents, as I've never missioned in Minmatar space (screwed standings)

But I can safely say that after a good 2 years running lvl 5's solo. The only viable option I found that worked well was a passive tanked Nighthawk, with an alt on standby in a Basilisk.

I used Caldari agents, so mainly did missions against Gallente. With it's high native thermal and kinetic resists, the NH is ideal against Gallente. I never accepted missions against Minmatar as even with logi support they are barely tankable and quite frankly I lost so many NH's in those missions I just turn them down now.

Never tried T3 either. And as for capitals, they can't use mission gates so you'd be limited to deadspace missions. And any roaming gang would luv to gank a mission carrier for lulz.

So again. This takes you right back to the best, and cheapest option as well. The Nighthawk.

My current fit.

Pith A amps are pretty cheap now and well worth the extra. So are the T2 rigs. Also, The Rep Fleet shield extenders are awesome and still pretty cheap. Same stats as T2, just less of a sig boost. 19 compared to 25 on the T2 extender. So you can use T2 ammo and negate the sig gain drawback somewhat.

As for your alt. Well anything in a support role will do. Leave them on the gate till you need them. Basilisk, even a logi fit domi will do. Hell I even used and Osprey with 3 Large shield transfers for a while. Worked well and very cheap. Very Happy

I use this combo setup.

[Loki, Unprobe LVL 5]
Loki Defensive - Adaptive Shielding
Loki Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer
Loki Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
Loki Offensive - Projectile Scoping Array
Loki Engineering - Power Core Multiplier

6x 425mm AutoCannon II (Republic Fleet EMP M)

10MN Afterburner II
3x Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II

4x Gyrostabilizer II
LADAR Backup Array II

[Scimitar, Unprobe]

4x Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter

2x ECCM - Ladar II
2x ECCM Projector II
10MN Afterburner II

LADAR Backup Array II
3x Capacitor Power Relay II

2x Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I

There is no rigs on the Loki cause I don't want to put them on and lose the chance to fiddle with setups.

2k to be safe.

Passive rattlesnake is the best option as it's the only ship that can reliably solo tank lv5s from all factions(perfect choice since you're gal/dari specked).

On your min alt bring something like a maelstrom for extra damage(fully gank fitted of course).

A vargur would be ideal so you can DPS an salvage.

Bouncer II x5

All up, you'll get over 1k DPS at pretty long ranges. 5 shield transporters should be enough, but drop the launchers for another couple if you need to, or add in an energy transfer Vs sanshas

I have used this setup a bit myself, i use the cloak to go in first, then burn to the rats and trigger any proximity spawns... Then i get my corpie/dualbox to warp in to me, he lands, gets agro, i uncloak and start repping.

Go for a phoon for repping for a few reasons
1) It's cheap
2) cap is fairly decent, this setup is cap stable.
3) A nice big drone bay
4) can keep up with any BS you want to make the tank/gank mobile.

I'd use a raven for primary DPS simply because it is cheap, and cruises can reach long distances.

Overall, alot cheaper to replace when you get ganked. And they can do the job.

Headerman, that is a truely lousy raven loadout.

The 5th BCU adds virtually nothing, the slot would be better used for something more useful, damage control or passive ECCM comes to mind.

You clearly don't know much about level 5s either, running active hardeners requires cap, lv5s(all factions) have capital neut towers which will cap you out in seconds, you're hardeners will switch off and you will die. You either need full passive or cap support from the logi.

I'm sorry, what part of "or add in an energy transfer Vs sanshas" do you not understand? Neuts are not on every L5.

And do you think a PRECISE fit is needed, or a general idea?

No you're wrong, all factions have lv5 missions with neut towers in.

Not in every single mission, but they will appear in missions from every faction.
