I would like to hear an answer to your question, but I doubt we'll get one. It doesn't make marketing sense to and (as some people on here seem to forget) CCP is a business concerned with making money.
My guess would be those were some sort of benchmark... some sort of internal goal they have set for themselves to moniter their progress on the game. Pretty much the exact same thing as the bottom bar, just with codenames.
That's my guess anyway. |

Internal builds most likely. You tend to modify the engine for your needs, then make basic content and work on the mechanics (NYX?). Ares is most likely the second iteration of their internal builds (more finalised art, mechanics, balance, etc). |

this means that the demo we saw wasn't a final build ( obviously i know but ...) meaning things such as graphics and combat will be a lot better, the demo looked good but the issue to me was it looked like aiming was too easy or something. hopefully dust does well, |

So i have been kicking around an idea:
Since the dust 'levels' will be PI platforms, I bet one avenue us pod pilots will have to sway the battle in our favor, will be investing in PI pins (extractors, command centers, ect..) that will cost more, yet provide the defense an easier means of defending.
example: Basic PI infrastructure will be very balanced and maybe even a bit on the attackers advantage. Elite PI on the other hand i bet will have the attackers really plan and invest a lot into the battle to be given a fair chance.
Thinking about the factors that make a successful fight, The terrain is probably the highest factor that can be changed. |

It probably just got pushed back and they didn't change the release date on that blog. That happens a lot with new games. I wouldn't worry about it too much. |

Pretty much what he said. Things get developed over time with several internal releases. So there is a plan made what do the next months and then the people get at it for several sprints. At the end of each sprint and the release there are presentations to the whole of the company. Same way EVE gets made. |
