Hey CCP, I really love the new feature that makes me able to buy faction stuff from market. With this you introtuced colortags for the items aswell what is nice, too. But please change the colors to the colors we already know from killboards. This means

RED for Faction
PINK for Deadspace
BLUE for Officer

Ty Very Happy

*edit*

and if you do so could you please change the tags to F,D and O?

This... don't care about colors much personnaly (ofc, taking them from killboards might be better), but it will be much more intuitive (tho this word probably means "never impnended by CCP" in this parts).

I'm not actually super-excited about this. It is going to make some items harder to find.

How so?

Simple, if you're not in a local market you can't see the item for sale.

If an item is particularly hard to find (storyline mods, for example,) you will have to use external sources to find an item.

Ah but see it this way: If the item is that hard to find, the seller is going to want maximal coverage. Hence, he's still going to use a contract.

Contracts aren't being removed.

Why dont we change the name to world of war.. err eve to go with the pretty item colors?

We're getting a functionality to sort stuff by meta level in inventory, why do we need colors?

EDIT: Also, keep the faction stuff on contracts. Faction ships are ok on market, but the rest will only make it harder to pricecheck faction stuff in systems outside "The Forge".

Because it makes sense, makes spotting the items much more convenient and generally improves usability. Or should we stop making such improvements in EVE because some players have an irrational fear of colorcoding?

Whats wrong with Green, Blue and Purple?? You'd almost think they drew inspiration from another game that uses the same colour scheme and decided to go with it since it would seem more familiar. [/cynical]

All right, after re-reading the OP I've given it some thought. I would not like a change making the names colored. I could however live with something like the T2 tag on items.

Thats actually what I whant or what I'm talking about Very Happy
CCP is going to implement it in the new expansion but the tag color and the tag signs are not a good choice. This is how CCP implemented it atm

I like CCPs choice of colours for the markers - killboards can always change to suit when this becomes common place.

Instead of strange shapes,

i would really like to have faction items marked with "F", deadspace with "D" and officer with maybe "O" characters.

more intuitive than some squares and shapes :)
