Edited by: Sable Blitzmann on 17/09/2010 02:56:52 Edited by: Sable Blitzmann on 17/09/2010 02:25:56 I recently install EVE on my Arch Linux x64 distro. Works well.
However, my corp uses EVE Voice for their fleets and whatnot. I can't seem to get it to work.
I use KDE4, and the sound mixer recongnizes my microphone just fine (it's one of them front audio panels). I can talk and hear my vioce through the speakers and everything. However, I can't get EVE Voice to recongize it.
I was wondering if anyone else has run into the same problem, or if anyone had some tips? Thanks
EDIT: I've used Audacity to try to make sure recording worked... I found that if the recodering device was set to default, there was no recorded sound. However, if I switched it to HDA Intel: AD198x Analog, the mic starts working. But that still doesn't make much sense, since in EVE, the options that I have for input are AD198x, Default System Device, and No Device. Niether of them work (you would think the AD198x would work...)
EDIT2: Herp durp I'm an idiot. When I installed Arch I never ran `alsaconf`. Doing that sorted out all the problems with my mic. |
