This is a fun and addictive service and they do pay up very promptly. But like the rule in Eve which says don't fly a ship you can't afford to lose, don't gamble with ISK you can't afford to lose. Its very easy to get carried away and lose a lot quickly. Although I'm generally unlucky, I have put in roughly 550 million and got back roughly 1.3 billion to include an Orca and a Caldari Navy Raven that was won in a promo blink. The stats are a little deceiving too in that someone who appears to be a big winner might be buying 10 of 16 tickets for a single blink making the actual net gain very small. I never knew there were so many billionaires in EVE with that much ISK to burn. I've seen over a billion spent on a single blink. For the megablinks, I would like to see a limit of one ticket per character so that everybody has a chance rather than some clown buying up more than half the tickets, but thats just me. I have dealt with their customer service once due to a mistake made by me and they resolved it pleasantly and promptly. If you have disposable ISK to burn, BLINK may be for you.  |

where be all the promo blinks??? So far today I've only seen the bonks (which isn't intuitive either btw, prob should make it a bit easier for viewers to see what they should be doing/clicking for the bonks).
Bonks are ok, but I was hoping for a day of gambling and promo blink trains =/ |

Agree completely. I saved my tokens so I would have them for all the PROMOS, I THOUGHT were coming. Promos provide excitement, instant gratification, and MORE chances for us non billionaires to win smaller but nice prizes. Instead we have this BONK BS which is slow, boring, and provides few really nice prizes to the gazillionaires like PHLANDER(15000 tickets & climbing) and others who have spent BILLIONS on *bonks* to stack the odds in their favor. Not much appeal for the masses at this point, but maybe thats just the peasant point of view.  |

Most underwhelming climax to one of the most anticipated events in Eve. This bonk stuff is ok, but where are the blink pulses or trains or whatever? I've been refreshing the page since the event started and I'm bored and disappointed. I too expected a lot more from SomerBlink than this.
Yeah, boo hoo and such, but c'mon. Pretty sure more than just a few of us were expecting something a heck of a lot more exciting and fantastic than this. |

Hey folks! To answer some of the questions: The OMG SUPER DAY OF PROMOS always occurs when we -hit- the celebration event, not 5 days later :p We promoed away over 90b worth of ships and items already for the 30T celebration. Plus, as those that have been here for the last two may remember - these bonk events tend to MELT servers, so we're watching load carefully and sliding promos in when we can. :) In reguards to the bonks, the Main Event bonk (A Guardian Vexor and Utu unveiled so far) is reached here. The minibonks, for 0 isk, tokens only, will change each day the main bonk is runing and can be found here. :) |

Put 1/3 of the money I made whilst running a site escalation on, and first ever blink won a basilisk. Course the next few.... weren't quite so lucky, but thats the point of gambling I guess.

Put in 300mil for the celebration a few days ago, convinced a few guys to do the same. Nothing like a little meta-gambling, so we had a 50mil bet going to see who could win the most on their 300mil.
I won that with a daredevil, vigilant, and crusader. I was beaten to the winning ticket twice by the same person - as I clicked the button it filled with his name. Once for another vigilant, once for an obelisk.
The day was not over, for one of the other guys won a promo CNR in the massive promo train, and the other won a CN invuln. Not a bad day at all for us.
Today I threw in 100m to get a few tickets for the guardian vexor and decided to win a cynabal while I was waiting.
Now if I can catch the elusive promo win I will be complete. |
