I'm looking for a pimped out small ship to use as a shuttle. I immediately thought of the dramiel, but I also have Fed Navy LP to burn, so a Fed Navy comet is an option. Anyone have any suggestions or fits? Under 100 mill if possible, but go reasonably wild if you like :)

Define pimped shuttle...

Is it going into low/null sec?

Do you need to have cargo space?

Is it going to run on autopilot?

Are you moving high end bpo's?

no autopilot, no null sec, no bpos

possible low sec,

basically, I have a bit of isk to burn and am looking for a nice, mainly high sec shuttle with a small but reasonable amount of cargo space

I am not in the market but if memory serves here are some insanely expensive pimp suttles, check contracts for them, they can be bought in Jita mainly.

I use Vigils for hi sec shuttles.

3 Small Auxiliary Thruster Is
3 OD IIs
1mn MWD
Cap Recharger II

With Minnie Frig IV, Warp Drive Op V, Nav V, Acceleration Control III, etc, etc, I get 729m/s, can run the MWD (cap stable) and get 4,709m/s, with 76.8m3 of cargo space.

Replace 2 of the ODs with Nanofiber Internal Structures II, and I still get 700 m/s and 120 m3 of cargo.

Of course you could pimp it out with faction mods, T2 rigs and so on. Throw in a lone T2 drone for lolz.

It shows -- and I don't think that was the actual question anyhow.

Comes from EVE box codes. It's... a shuttle. Gallente to be exact. With a different paint job. Except it has a 20m3 cargo hold.

Came from a one-time give-away in 2008 to all active players (accounts? I can't recall). It's... a shuttle. With a unique hull design.

It's Zephyr, and it's very much not a shuttle. Unique hull, handed out sometime last year to all active accounts (that one I'm sure on). Slow as all get out. It's a probing ship. The only interesting thing about it is that Sleepers won't attack it (but by god players will).

It's... a shuttle. Supply is unlimited. Guristas paint job on a Caldari shuttle (yeah, imagine that).

It's Goru's -- and it's a shuttle. From a COSMOS mission. Pretty sure it's a Caldari shuttle with a different paint job.

Many.

But the most likely candidates for the job at hand are the Dramiel, Slicer (yes; there are a few fast Amarr ships plus it looks very nice), and Firetail. I suppose a Comet would do alright as well.

Actually both of them have the same paint job as the Caldari Shuttle.

So yeah it shows!

If you want a pimped ship for a shuttle, you could get:

1 of the alliance tournament frigates

Bonus points for silver magnate.

Pimped Shuttle = Blockade Runner.

* All of them warp in about 4 seconds.
* Fit a MWD and do about 1,700 m/s.
* Fit a Covert Ops cloak.
* Haul several thousand m3 (perfect for level 4 courier missions).

Seriously. Everyone that I know has trained for one has been like "OMG! Why didn't I train this long ago!"

Otherwise a Magnate, though slower, it is cheap and hauls 1,009 m3:

How about a T2 Blockade Runner?

I use the Caldari version (Crane), but you'd use the version for whatever race you are.

My Crane can fly at almost 350 m/s, e.g. on autopilot covering those 15 km from warp-in to stargate, and it warps at 9 AU/second. And it has a lot of cargo space, even pimped with speed rigs.

+1 vote for the claw. I use it a lot for afk travel and low sec trading because it's faster and safer than a blockade runner in the vast majority of low/high sec situations (but not null due to the lack of a cov ops cloak).

Due to the four low slots it can be expanded to over 400m3 cargo capacity which is enough for several hundred datacores (it's main cargo when not being used as an AFK shuttle)

I use nanofibers because they don't reduce cargo space like overdrives do but just chuck whatever pimp stuff you like in there.

A comet or slicer will do a similar job with more cargo space but will not be as fast as a claw, nor will it have the sig radius bonus when running from pies in low sec.

As mentioned near the top of the thread, the best "ship shuttle" I have ever had was an Atron. That fit is double nano, I used one nano and one Istab. It pretty much insta warps on decloak. Fit with warp velocity rigs as shown and you are cruising through the galaxy in your pimp shuttle for a reasonable amount of isk. If you land in a bub expect to be punished though.

For a little more style and safety you might consider -

Cloaky, extra cap for long jumps, nearly 20 au/sec in warp, cap stable running MWD, emergency Oh S4!7 button (ecm burst).

Any inty, fitted to increase align time.
Since inty's have the fastest warp speed in the game pretty much a no brainer.

This is what I do.

EDIT:

Mine's a Stiletto fitted as such. I've managed to survive going through low-sec fairly easily in this, it fits with a 1% CPU implant (I've got a 3% in anyways so it doesn't bother me):

Stiletto as a shuttle:

High Slots:
Core Probe Launcher I, Sisters Core Scanner Probe I
Improved Cloaking Device II

Mid Slots:
1MN Microwarpdrive II
1MN Afterburner II
ECM Multispectral Jammer II
Micro Capacitor Battery II

Low Slots:
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Rigs:
Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Small Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I

The align time is only 2.1 seconds provided the speed mods are off (which you should have for warping away...it's 3.1 seconds if they're on), and its warp speed is 16.2 AU/sec. Afterburner speed is 1778 m/s, while the MWD speed is 4723 m/s.

The reason I fit it dual propulsion is just in case I get scrammed. I can usually AB out of range in time and warp off. This ship is NOT going to live long if it's tackled, so you just hope you can get out before any tackling happens. The reason I have the jammer on there is for absolute emergencies. I've gotten lucky and been saved by jamming another Stiletto that had tackled mine, allowing me to warp off. Cloak is there for obvious reasons. This thing can still move 172 m/s while cloaked. You must be thinking "why not just use a covert ops ship?"...well, travel time. The inty is far and away faster for going across big systems. If I was going to maximize security I'd use a covops, but I like the inty for its speed and agility.

Finally the probe launcher is there for those rare rare times that I want to stop my trip and scan for a wormhole. I'm not using the high slots for weapons anyway, so might as well.

I likegirls

I think carriers are the fastest ship in the game at getting across long distances. You can spend your LP to buy fancy faction cap recharge modules or something.

I fly it everywhere, it runs lv4 couriers in no time, and it won't die to a solo smartbomb attack

blockade runners do 9au/s, and the proby cov ops do 13.5 au/s, which both tie interceptors, but intys win on align time
