If you want this to be a discussion you should post what elements of the gate system you dislike. Or you should post what you believe should be the alternative to the current system.

I like the sandbox nature of the game. (read: this is a terrible thread, there I criticized your thread - why? cause I can - thats what makes eve so good.) I dislike CCP's poor communication style. |

If you nerf a thing, it makes an another thing overpowered as it can't be countered anymore, so you nerf it but an other thing is now overpowered as it can't be countered anymore, so you nerf it but because of that a new overpowered thing appears, etc... Repeat it indefinitively. More you nerf, more you HAVE to nerf, so more you remove diversity as there is less and less useful modules to play with. I remember gangs with terrible nosferatus, nanogangs who rivalized with blobs, dangerous RSDs, etc. Now apart blobs and few very specific small gangs, it is rare to see unconventional fits. |

Completely agree "Sky Marshall" As CCP try to remove overpowered niches they simply reduce the options available to the players. I believe it's part of their "even universe mentality" As a side note in regards to overpowered niches some one some where discovers a way to nuetralize their effect within game mechanics - often after ccp have nerfed them. |
