hi guys cat here
i was wondering earlier how i can make even more friends in new eden! as you can never have too many friends!
now i have a bit of a problem lately as i am currently assisting with defending stain and there is no sentry guns so it is like the ok coral out there at times lol with people just being all gung ho and trying to shoot me and my friends
now i am looking for suggestions as to maybe break the ice with these folks. i have tried to name my ship non threatening names ("Defencemobile" can come across as too menacing imo) and i have tried to set them to good standings to show trust and i have tried telling jokes and riddles in the local chat
the issue is some people are more concerned with shooty shooty but i think we should all just get along.
so what other tips for how to make friends with other pilots do people have?

A little known fact is that antimatter rounds contain large concentrations of pure love. If you fire them into another persons ship eventually they will love you and want to be your best friend forever. |

I suggest that you greet them on the gate as they arrive, preferably in something nonthreatening, like a freighter or Orca. That way they're sure that you mean them no harm because you have no guns. This will maximize your friend making.

yes i have tried this with some pirates in rancer before but i think it is just a ploy  i get up close to them pirates to try and be friends and then some disco lights turn on and i wake up in station not knowing how i got there and feeling strangely dirty  x |

You can try those snowball launchers, if you can get your hands on them, i´ve heard ppl like a cooldown when it´s hot outside (at least in middle europe).

Normally you think of a pick-up lines for the opposite sex but in some respects you do the same thing when you are looking to form friendships the objective is a different but the same skill set applies. So you want pick up lines for friends using a Eve topic right ? |

i'm actually surprised by the number of friends I've made this way lol the best part is that the random nature of wormhole connections means new friends every day \o/

P.S. I don't recommend Costco since they tend to sell friends in bulk. That's too many people trying to drink my beer, IMO.

They cannot see what standings you have them set to.
the thing, that was a part of eve-gate, allows you to inform people that they are now blue and similar stuff, if you want. add them as a contact, there is a thing to type an optional notification |
