3 blogs within 3 days and a lot more to come. Are the trolls and whiners afraid of CCP Oveur and his spandex? Or the fact that these blogs have been great communication and are explaining every little detail about the fight against lag and what is upcoming.
CCP Oveur, can I borrow that troll killing hammer of yours. your posts are killing trolls dead and making them hide. |

Sorry you can not make up any reason stuff is broken (not back to how it *was*) for 9months... people cried for more talking, and they are getting it... talk is cheap, lets see the real deal, the fix. |

Look to the left of the forums and click the 'eve insider' tab then the 'dev blog' tab and finally 'blogs'. Though there are only two real new dev blogs as the first was simply telling us to expect even moar blogs over the coming weeks. |

True. But I was trying to make it easier for our resident trolls to be informed. Don't want to drown them in information after all as its quite detrimental to their mental health if applied in to large a quantity at once. Also: Love the new corp name. |

Also, to preempt the Atticus/Nooma trolling, yes there are only 2.5 blogs recently, but there's around 6-7 more to come over the week. (basically one a day, and I think.. Thursday? has 2 scheduled) |

I haven't read a single Devblog, i generally rely on SHC and KUGs to give me a TL;DR-version.
Anyway, Game is still lagging, so apparently they still haven't fixed it. |

Nice ones have to admit it, i could also add thou that posting a detailed dev blog about how they (CCP) are workin on the lag (just to pick one argument)9 months after the problem "started" is a bit...what can i say late?
like i said blogs are nicely done, but to u guys that now start pointing yr fingers at us "whiners" i'll add something else:
do you honestly think that such extensive blogs would have been posted the same if the trolls (like the OP called us) would have remain silent after the: " we'll talk again about current issues in 18 months" ?
if you do kind sir, you are utterly wrong, in those blogs CCP actually apologizes for a couple of "mistakes" they did (at least on the comunication side).
One last point, in my opinion 1 thing is speaking of how you'r working (have been working) to solve a problem, but what really matters is to actually solve that given problem, so thanks CCP for those blog, now i hope it won't take other 9 months (18 maybe?^_^) to get a solution.

It's nice to see that some of you guys realize that a large part of your customer-base IS intelligent enough to understand (there are always exceptions, of course  ) Does it make things better in-game, no... Does it show that someone has their head OUT of their rear-end? Yes.... New info for me, no, not really, but it certainly is nice to hear about the issues in such an intelligent manner.... I'd like to see some other (Blizz...caugh...ard..caugh) MMO production companies speak to their player-base like this Good luck with the process.. I know it's a long one, but definitely feel better knowing it IS being handled correctly! [now, if only you guys could get your bosses to realize what matters! <see sig>] Oh, and fix rockets!! |

I think the problem is that the blogs are pretty tucked-away on the forums. Theres no clear announcement a new one has been produced, or what its about, so unless it is a 'major subject', the vast mojority never see it. Unless your an avid reader, your never going to know they are there unless someone else mentions it (I only knew they existed because I saw a feed of them on another site :P). Given the recent furor, i would have expected more of an announcement of these blogs in the forums. |

More to the point, they still have no freaking idea what is causing it, but at least they know a bit about what is not causing it, and they are taking steps to get an idea of what is causing it. I suggest no one holds his breath. |

I read the blogs. ****in A for Awesome.
Logged into the game today. Server lag was stupid with 12 in local. Heard Pure Blind crashed. I'm in Tash, but whatever.
CCP mercifully pulled the plug to do a half hour fix.
An Hour later, still down and I hear the proxy server was having a hissy fit.
Then I went out and played in RL.
But goddamn, those blogs are ****in A for Awesome.

server statusdoes not seem to support that, but if a system in pure blind crashed then it does not need the entire server to be rebooted - and all of pure blind was not down, if your proxy was frequing out then a relog will connect you to another. |

Well, since ya asking; - A simple "hey, got a new dev blog out" sticky for a day or two on General Discussion would be cool (i bet this thread has massively increased the number of people viewing the blog). - If we are getting crazy, they could even do a flag on the tab for the Information portal that said "New Dev Blog" (in a colour that isnt another shade of grey like everything else on the forum). As I say, i found it myself (by the RSS feed - yesterday I learned a new thing, what an RSS feed is ). But the thread asked "why arent people reading the dev blog", and the answer is likely "what, theres a new Dev Blog, where do I find that?". Granted, most will know where to find them, but still, unless you are an avid daily reader of the information portal :yawn:, the average guy checking the forums on his lunch break, isn't likely to notice this info (which is quite significant if the lag issue is a serious concern for you). |

To people who want results not blogs: How about you go fix lag? It's not just "hey bro, look at this typo.. oops, lemme fix this", it's a complex issue. Yes, we pay for a product/service, and CCP should fix lag, but it's not as simple as that. |
