The footer is 1/5 the total size height of the site.
Needlessly generic social video site, and failbook should have already taught the lesson of how EVE and social sites do not work well. (Besides dreddit and reddit, they are a special case of trolls and narwhals). People want to watch videos and maybe comment, not spend half a decade playing with groups and all that junk, EVE is for the other junk, and these forums are for the trolls.

Yes, that is a side effect of having so few videos uploaded so far. Once more videos are added it will not be so prominent. Originally by: Messoroz

I am not trolling, I am giving my opinion, using the you're trolling defense is like me using the you're a Nаzi defense... Why is there a benefit of this site vs. say youtube(besides the fact it's just purely eve videos and not other junk)? Can you compete with Google's CDN? Can you provide an accurate search system that find the videos I want? Can you have the system automatically identify the music in the song? (Because that is awesome sometimes when the vidoes have good music :D) I'm on a horse. |

I apologize for my defensiveness. Im just rahter peeved that a similar site to mine was launched the same day as mine.. hardly coincidence as this is the 2nd time it has happened. Anyways, back on topic. Benefits: All Eve Videos, Easy to navigate Eve categories&tags(making searching here vs YouTube much easier) CDN: No I cannot compete with Google's CDN, thats just ridiculous. But I am implementing a very popular CDN (Akamai), its pretty much the best you can get without being a Google size company. Auto Music finding: Probably not anytime soon, but Ill certainly look into implementing that. |

Are you rly going to be implementing this as a CDN solution for hosting videos or are you just name dropping and planning on sticking with sites like videoweed, vimeo and youtube for your video hosting.
If so, when? |

I am going to also have to say I am really really hating that stupid player because it shows the silly share icons whenever moving over it.
They should be on the page on the side, not in the player, and in fact they are on the side so it is duplicating functionality. Volume control slider is kinda sucky as it isn't a slider but rather a click to change bar. Get a darken background option because the white background of the site actually makes some of the eve videos hard to see because they are dark.
The signup page has a broken character in this sentence "Register as a member, it’s free and easy just "
Date of birth entry is actually ******ed on the backend because if you put in a random string it just converts it to the unix epoch. Quite silly anyway as it's more user friendly to have dropdowns.
The ad on the frontpage over the video box is just so out of place, because one, it opens up automatically regardless. Two, it makes the assumption of "Close to play" like I want to actually play the content in that box. If anything make it only pop up when a person clicks on the video box or make it look less of out place when it pops up automatically. |

It is very Expensive, $150/mo per 1Tb of Bandwidth. I am going to be implementing it both on EvePress and Eve-Tube so I get a slight discount. |

Yeah, thats a known bug. Its only supposed to popup when the visitor clicks play. Ive disabled it temporarily on the pre-roll. ps - It's an Open source Player... You get what you pay for... Originally by: lodik

I nor the site have no affiliation with We from Voltron. That video is just a video I grabbed off Eve-Files to test the uploading/processing. |

This has potential if people give it a chance. It sure beats trying to find the eve videos on youtube. at least we know these will all be eve videos. |

Yeah I think it's got a lot more potential than just straight YouTube. I've got a bunch of old videos (some alliance tourneys from 2007, a bunch of my favorite vids, etc). I'm ASSUMING I can't post them up there, and can only put up what I own/authored.
Something to that effect may be good (unless you don't really care). |

It all depends on the size, length and quality of the video. To keep the server from exploding I currently have it limited to processing 1 video at a time, until I get a feel for how the load is going to be. oh, and its all automated. |
