What a class game. My GF and i basically bought a PS3 to play it, and it was HER idea. I was like "Hmmmm. PS3?. Well if you insist.". Its now become the fresh air i needed from the usual releases. Yes it resembles GTA but i think it plays even better, and the timeline is far more suitable to what you can get away with.
Incidently my GF is now losing her time in Eve to Valkyria Chronicals, a random purchase she took a risk with and has ended up loving.
Anyway, any other lovers of the Red Dead ? losing your life to it ?
Were both hoping Dust will make a PS3 appearance too - has there ever been any news on the actual consoles that will host it yet ? |

Yeah, I bought both Alan Wake and Grand Theft Horse, aka Red Dead Redemption, at the same time. Untill I'd finished both, my Eve time was severely limited. |

Are you... insane? The first 'ending' was one of gamings best ever, the follow-up wasn't as good and I wish they would have ended it with... the ending (trying not to spoil here), but I thought it was great. |

Great sandbox game. Still a console-shooter at heart (and now minus the driving) so I wouldn't rate it too highly gameplay-wise, but very immersive and fun. Didn't care too much for the story, until the ends, of which there were about five, each more awesome than the last.
The end end was perfect, and the final end was one of the most satisfying moments in gaming.
Valkyria Chronicles is also great, though overpowered scouts detract from the gameplay and the switch from WWII allegory to generic JRPG/anime routine detracts from the story. The story is bailed out by the excellent credits sequence though. |

looks like i have a little to look forward to still.  The one thing i like about the valkyria game is that rotoscoped cartoon look. Nice change from the 'must look like real life' which no game ever really achieves, although some have their moments. Im worried it will deteriorate into tentacles though. Interestingly yahtzee very almost gave it a good review. |
