Kamio is absolutely loaded with hulks and mackinaws... last time i was there i saw at least 40 of em up and down the ice belt

i suicided 2 of them and declared that they should pay 100m for permission to mine in 'my' system... made 400mil =P

Look in the systems around Korama and Malkalen. There is a small infestation of macro Hulks. Send me a message in game and I will provide more details.

Happy hunting

Backwoods Metropolis has a lot of systems with macros, that specifically mine so far away to try and avoid the gankers.

For Hulks:
Josekorn
Vorsk
Anbald

For Macks:
Gedugaud

Intense Thinker, I believe we are reporting the same targets here. I have reported these macromining Hulks but as yet the GMs have not been able to smite them. So it is up to the Hulkageddon participants to do the smiting instead.

These Hulks may be hard to find in space. I recommend that would-be gankers bring combat probes. I will send you more info in-game.

Deninard in Essence...

A good 50-60 mackinaws going at any one time... And a lot of em are not macroers judging by the constant chit-chat in local so I suspect if you want ganking with a side helping of delicious tears then this is the place to be Twisted Evil

Here's a question I'm surprised no one has raised yet: how are the organizers of Hulkageddon III going to handle rookie systems?

I mean, think about it. There are miners there (one of the first things brought up in the tutorial is mining). I don't believe for a minute the argument "newbies don't fly barges so they won't be targeted" is going to hold true in all cases. I'll bet at least one H3 participant is going to take out a newcomer for a kill point. As one of these rookies I'd hate to get blown up on my way to getting blown up in "Cash for Capsulers". It's redundant! Razz

I'll also wager a few bots will park their ships in those systems, thinking no one will have the nerve to go there to blow'em up. Once someone catches wind of that ... well, you fill in the rest ...

Discuss, discuss!

There's no rule that says noobs can't be shot. I once saw a thrasher shoot up a reaper in Hulm (a starter system). Of course these are the same goofs who later plead for help understanding why everyone is "always attacking me for no reason" in Rookie Chat. Natural selection will weed out these jokers.

Posters here said they are not going to risk their security level taking out someone in a T1 frigate. Exhumers and barges are what they are after.

If you were writing this thinking noobs will get scared off EVE because of Hulkageddon, that's not solid ground. They will be scared off for other reasons even if Hulkageddon didn't exist. Not everyone can handle EVE. It's different and Hulkageddon is an example of that.

Were to begin...let’s keep it simple:
Ice mining in Tolle...be sure and head there to kill who'd you'd like. Lots of botters there.
I use and pay for 5 accounts.
I’ve managed to get to the point where I can finally fly Macs with my newest two accounts.
Now flying 1 Orca, 4 Macs
Two of you Hulkageddon brethren fly in and nuke the 4 Macs before getting killed.
The Orca survives.
I’m now out close to 900 Million ISK for ships and implants due to the pod kills as well.
This will set me back 6-8 months in game time to recover the loss.
I have never used a bot.
I may start now.
I might reconsider if some of you wouldn’t mind sending me some cash, since 900 Million is almost nothing for a lot of you, and I’ll continue to play the game the way it was intended to be played.
Maybe in the future you could pick you’re targets a little more wisely, unless the botting is really just an excuse to kill for no reason.

You are more than welcome to come and join ANTRS out in 0.0, I know you probs don't like the sound of 0.0 but we got some really lovely upgraded mining systems where it spawns never ending A,B,C plexs. That way you would have your isk back in no time. And don't worry about getting out to us as we have many carrier pilots that can get you out here in a jiffy.

Ok so here's an update to the hard life of Xyanthia..

So after he reads my post above I receive a mail -

From: Xyanthia
Sent: 2010.08.29 01:12
To: Razzor Death,

Hi there. Got your message on the board.
Tell me more.

Xyanthia

-

So naturally seeing an opportunity I mailed him back -

Hi there sorry for late reply. We are definitly looking for more miners to take advantage of our mining upgraded systems in providence and there is quite a bit of money to be made, we offer high class security during mining ops ( nothing gets in or out ) will see if you are about tomorrow for a chat.

Fly safe o/

- After some chatting today I managed to convince him that ANTRS would be a great place for him to make some ISK using his 5 miners and told him that tonight was the Corps nightly logistics and we would collect his stuff for him. So a few hours later after gathering 5 Chars worth of crap I come down to the meeting system and he believes I'm here to collect his stuff for jumping. After a little more chatting we decide there is no need to contract and he litrally gives me all 5 chars worth of stuff.

Not a great deal of assets but as he had already said he was "trying to rebuild"

Link to screen shot of assets

Only about a bills worth of ships and 500 - 600 worth of mods ( all I really wanted in the start was the Orca as he said it was all he had left so meh )

Now it was time to tell him he had been scammed...

Most definitely not a Chat log ♥

I tried to dupe him into giving me his Isk for good measure, even told him I would contract him it all back for 500mill ( only intended to put the mods up as I doubt he would look through 900+ items ) but apparently he only has 14mill.

Epic scam ?

No

Funny ?

Well I thought so.. ♥

To Xyanthia if you're feeling pretty low right now I think this will help you feel better..

Some kind words for Razzor Death,
At least you saved me the time of telling the story. This way I can just add to it.
It would seem that Razzor wanted to teach me a lesson, so he says, about being scammed in an online game. Although my trust was misplaced, I would have been more impressed had he proven to me that there are still trustworthy people in the world, and that they play online games. As this is not the case and Razzor seems to need the money so badly that he’s willing to lie, cheat, scam and steal from trusting people, I’d have to say he needs it more than I do, so you go right ahead and keep it.
Now for a real leason…
Razzor, I’ve been playing online games for a long time now. A good chance that it’s been for longer than you’ve been alive (that’s just a guess). That aside, they are just games and the content is really meaningless but how you play them isn’t. That in mind the most common response to having had this done to someone is probably anger followed by a long list of crap about getting revenge and so on. I won’t be demeaning myself over you. I’m still a good person and won’t be changing because you decided to take advantage of me for your own personal ‘virtual’ gain.
I am hoping however, that this isn’t how you treat people in the real world, although I’d hazard to guess that it is. So you go have ‘fun’ with your new windfall. As I said before, you obviously need it more than I do.
Oh and while you’re online…look up the word Karma. You may find that revenge is usually not necessary.

And yes, Ultim8Evil, I think it would be a good idea to permanently sticky this. I would love everyone to have a permanent reminder of how trustworthy I was…although you might want to check with Razzor and see if he’d like to be remember this way.

Have a good one,
Xyanthia

It needs the word 'gullible' somewhere I am afraid. Being trustworthy towards people you don't know is not a wise thing to do in EVE. Especially in C&P there are fake 'recommendations' made every day, best compare it with Jita. You fell for a good one though. He told you pretty much exactly what you wanted to hear; reassuring words of comfort, vast loads of isk waiting for you to scoop up and the promise of a great adventure. This is how they contracted sailor men and settlers for colonies in the 17th century. Except that he didn't have to make you drunk. It is also what the Goons have done in EVE for years.

Your lessons: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. And: Don't trust anyone in EVE, especially not people you don't know anything about.

If you would continue playing EVE and take the harsh lessons to heart, you have my respect though.

This post made my day.

Seriously, do you also whine when people shoot you in Modern Warfare?

Any time you give someone in Eve a chance to take advantage of you for a quick profit, they will. It's not because they are a terrible person in real life. It's because that is the point of the game. The point of Eve is to succeed, by whatever means necessary. In Eve, one man's success will usually come at the expense of someone else. That's just the nature of the game. If you can't understand that, Eve is not the game for you.

Eve is a game. Stop taking it so seriously. If you cannot see the difference between a video game and real life, you have no business playing it.
