PI was not created because most of the players in EVE wanted it. PI was created because the large elite corporations pressured EVE to create it. They wanted to produce thier own POS fuel so they did not have to buy it on the market. When Dust is implemented these large elite corporation will kill off all the smaller corporations PI in 0.0 space. This will force the smaller corporations to buy it on the open market at much higher prices or force them to put thier PI in high sector space. |

You're both wrong...
PI was created so that CCP could study possible tactics to harvest actual RL planets with their cloaked space station (it's now somewhere above alaska). They then intend to addict the whole world to EVE-online and change their subscriptions so that in order to play you would have to serve CCP blindly for the rest of your life (this is a non refundable one-time offer, those who reject the offer becomes liquidated and used as biomass to produce more obedient human clones)
So there, end of discussion, now sit down and play EVE! ;) |

Or so CCP could massively expand 0.0/wormhole space, making it the unexplored frontier it was meant to be, too large to ever be controlled by a single entity, the wild untamed land of opportunity with room for everyone while being free from needing empire stuffz. /optimism |
