The only "proof" in this thread is that you're either the victim of a cruel experiment or very, very stupid. Do you think that someone stumbling upon the website will want to mess around with something called "GTC's" when they can just pay $15 and get the client and a month free? Or do you only assume new accounts are old players? |

Wouldn't you need to pay the activation fee for a new account without the offer anyways? With or without GTCs?

Nope, you don't. 2x PLEX or 1x GTC cost 35$, not 30$. When you pay with PLEX/GTC, it's as if you keep repaying the activation fee every other month (or half the activation fee every month). ...and let's not get too crazy about just that, how about you also think of the benefits of paying 1 year in advance afterwards, you pay the equivalent of 4 GTCs or 8 PLEX and you get 12 months instead of just 8. |

Yup. At no "extra" charge. And you can do something even funnier : send a 21-day buddy trial offer, activate with PLEX (extra hilarity points if paid for in ISK from the inviting account), get +30 days on inviting account and 51 days of full-rights on second account (total of 81 days) for just one PLEX. Hehe. |

wrong, I bought a GTC in 2008 to buy more time on my 14 day trial, and didn't have to pay any extra. That was back when they had single month GTCS. It was a workaround everyone knew about back then (ESPECIALLY CCP, DUH), hence neither of you are older than some noob pubbie and should stay clear of big boy discussions. @ poster talking about a GTC of 35$, sure but thats two months worth. This is 15$ for one month worth. GTCs cost extra than CC payments, so really, the extra you pay for the GTC is convenience and the cost of producing them/shipping them/etc. So you fail. |

Ah, the "cost" of electronically producing 16 digits and emailing them... yes, I totally see why that's worth 5$. Yes, there are physical GTCs too, but other than the EVE store (by the way, you actually pay extra, quite a lot too, for the shipping), you seldom see them anywhere else. GTC retailers almost exclusively work with the electronic versions. And hey, CCP also sells 2x PLEX packages directly too, for the same price of 1x GTC. And they're instantly delivered to your account. Hooray ? |
