My eyes however do have a tendency to drop, then raise like this Rolling Eyes whenever I encounter a post such as yours

I imagine most of the pirates* real life issues are...

Extremely pales skin due to lack of sunlight...extremely small _____ for which they are trying to compensate.

*I continually marvel at how griefers have managed to convince most of a gaming community they are "pirates".

They're just tired from the camp duty, silly. Those people have to work all day, come home, and work more in the form of internet space ships.Cool

I'm not amazed by the large number of people who claim to be but aren't pirates nor by the large amount of people who want to play an MMO but only believe in consensual interaction if at all. My non-amazement goes double for whiners and smart asses.

Despite my non-amazement I do enjoy some of the snarky comments and a handful of the posting population.

Over 6 years later, I still giggle at pirates (a name they came up with themselves so they could put a storyline spin on griefing) who always try to exude an internet machismo, go it alone, lone wolf badass in the cold depths of space "yarr" and all that jazz persona - but then turn up in every single ridiculous thread whining about pirates - to whine about the whining. And before anyone pulls out their personal manifesto and detailed justification thesis for why they play the way they do - don't bother. I happen to think that there are some "models" of pirates that can - god help me - enrich the game such as the so-called "honorable" ones, or whatever they call themselves these days.

Pirates that stick to legitimate targets, try and fight in at least a .3 or lower (but not 0.0!) who don't constantly prey on clueless noobs who've just carelessly wandered into a .4 system for their first time, only to be met by a horde of uh,, "pirates" who've been sitting on the other side of that gate for oh, hours at least in the hopes that they'll get to wack an iblis. Ridiculous. But it's their money, let them spend it how they wish. "Pirates" don't blob a mission runner in .4, but they would take on a similar sized gang - as they should since mission runners ought to know the risk of doing business in lowsec systems.

The window lickers that sit in .4 camping for noobs and spewing trash in local, who've never seen a system below .3 let along have the man stones required to even attempt life out in 0.0 do not deserve respect, nor should anything said by the reject rickshaw ever be taken seriously. If people wouldn't do that, they'd go away. Same with that ransoming crap. Blow the damned ship up yourself if you have time, or tell them to **** off if you're ransomed. It's simple supply and demand. So what if you get blown up? You get a new clone. Move on. Unfortunately people don't remember encounters with "good" pirates, they only remember the base dwelling naval gazers which doesn't exactly do anything to improve the already "negative" view the community has of pirates in general and that's a shame.

But I digress. Usually.

edit reason: Zion's Child asked to have my man baby, and I've accepted. This post edit is my dowry payment to his family, so that I may purchase him for my purposes.

WHERE ARE THE PARAGRAPHS!?

As a person who enjoys roaming lowsec solo, I've found its a lot of fun, but its almost impossible to find lone targets. FW has people running around in giant blobs everywhere.... T hat being said, the occasional lone target tends to be a noob Sad I don't seek them out, I just happen upon them YARRRR!!

Also, I ransom because it makes me money. Yes, I mine with an alt, but ransoms are fun. Plus it allows them to keep their ship, and perhaps learn something new...

There's nothing to learn. They can't know if said pirate will keep their word once they get the ransom or not. **** them. Keep the damned money and buy a new ship. A new clone is free, and never fly with implants in or in a ship you can't afford to replace. If people wouldn't fall for that crap, it would never have caught on. But like the scammers aka bottom feeders that used to scam contracts by putting a cheap item up for auction and calling it something else - it's bottom feeding behavior from people who need to find a way to do something that will let them feel they've been successful in the game, rather than non-sleezly, griefish cheap tactics.

And you, are a pirate? What? Is your ship and crew the same as the Ye Olde Gay Pirates? Talk about stereotypes... Oh Snap! YARRRR!!

Real cylons infiltrate major 0.0 alliances and wait...

Oooo, the Pirates of Penzance... lol.

I like talking to people I blow up, you know, exchange gf's and stuff. If they're noobs, and they don't get ****y, I try and help them with their fits and tactics. Also, I will say every ransom I've paid has been honored, of course, the last time I got caught by a pirate and had to pay a ransom was... back in '06, so I suppose EVE times have changed Neutral I have always honored 1v1's, and always honor ransoms. Of course, if another ship warps into the belt, your ass is grass, but then that's you breaking the terms of the agreement...

And yes Zedic, I'm a pirate, and I enjoy doing all sorts of things that end up with at least one player-wreck on my overview. Suicide ganking hulks is a popular pasttime of mine, although I can't do it right now what with my lack of sec status. Oh, and I lose ships like you lost the ability to use paragraphs.

Oh, and 0.0 is too damned political. I don't enjoy dealing with those shenanigans. I have RL politicking to worry about, i let my CEO deal with the 0.0 crap. Oh, and gate camps are boring as hell Neutral

Aww does your epeen get bigger every time you use the word carebear?

Do you know how much the opinion of someone from Goonswarm means to me? Lets just say you could magnify it a billion times and still not see it with an electron microscope. I'm well aware of the "Goons" MO when it comes to MMOs...you join an MMO and your entire goal is to grief the other players as much as possible...then you run back to SA and tell yourselves how cool you are all while paying Lowtax for the honor of doing so.

Haha. I guess you can't call it a ponzi scheme since they all do it willingly though right? SA should be more like a roach motel, or a bug zapper. But instead it just concentrates all of that socially awkward simmering nerd rage in one spot. Pretty funny that they're goals are to ruin player experiences in games from WoW to STO (which sounds perfectly capably of shattering expectations and ruining experiences all by itself thank you very much) to that crap known as Second Life. THEY'LL SHOW YOU WORLD! JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE!! bbbzzzzzz!

Yes, you figured me out, pointing out that I know your groups little method is an obvious sign of the horrible angst you fill me with Rolling Eyes

And you can only ruin MY game if I CHOOSE to ALLOW you to, I do not.

I eagerly await your next laughable attempt to try to spin me up.
