Considering the bonus from missiles sucks on the Gila I cam up with this, borrowing from a Battleclinic fit I saw.
Lows Power Diagnostic System II Power Diagnostic System II Power Diagnostic System II/Nanofiber Internal Structure II DC II
Mids Y-T8 Microwarpdrive Invulnerability II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Medium Capacitor Booster II/Navy Cap Booster 400 Warp Scrambler
Hi Small Unstable Fluctuator/Medium Unstable Power Fluctuator Small Unstable Power Fluctuator Small Unstable Power Fluctuator Small Unstable Power Fluctuator Small Unstable Power Fluctuator
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I/Medium Anti-EM Screen Enforcer II
+3% shield implants gives 18216 shield with nano or 19127 with 3rd PDS. EM and thermal resists not that crash hot so could swap Anti-Thermal or another Invul in mids. Just over 70k EHP. With Zors, 1587 m/s (2278 o/h) or with nanofiber 1736 m/s (2492 o/h). 5 Ogres/Gardes, 5 Beserkers, 5H/heads, 5 Valkyrie, 5 EC-600, etc etc You can drop down your shield extender to fit another M Neut. Both combinations drain about 3000 per minute. Cap stable.

Besides killing t1 cruisers i dont see that doing much. Without web every ship that has scram+web can dictate range on you at short range, and already every reasonably fast ship can dictate range outside web range. |

Edited by: Merin Ryskin on 29/05/2010 08:05:23 If you're close enough to anything to use small neuts and a scram in a Gila, you're doing something very badly wrong and are about to lose your ship. Instead, you should be nano fit and orbiting at a nice safe 25km or more.
The correct Gila setup:
[Gila, New Setup 1] Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 10MN Afterburner II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Cap Booster 800 Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Republic Fleet Warp Disruptor
Assault Missile Launcher II, Sabretooth Fury Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher II, Sabretooth Fury Light Missile Assault Missile Launcher II, Sabretooth Fury Light Missile Small Energy Neutralizer II Small Energy Neutralizer II
Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I Medium Core Defence Field Extender I
Lots of drones.
Yes, you still have small neuts, but they're your emergency "get out of jail free" card in case you get tackled by a scram frigate, not a primary weapon. |

Dualprop instead of moar EHP? Interesting, please explain. |

Its for mitigating damage from ratting missile boats i guess /and invul will be better in that case/. |

It's a GTFO backup plan. If you get scrammed and lose your MWD, you can still move 900m/s (less webbed, of course, but still useful) to keep range on another target/burn back to the gate/etc. IMO the ability to keep some degree of mobility no matter what is worth more than a bit more EHP, but dualprop vs. more EHP is a matter of personal preference. The important thing is nano fitting it and NOT trying to go in close with small neuts and scram as your primary strategy. |

There are some terribly bad Gila setups in this thread. I think you dudes need to reconsidered your choice in ships. |
